Here's the thing. My antenna never worked that well, I got 1 AM station but not very well. I got a handful of the local FM stations, but they would go in and out while I was driving. I decided to install an FM modulator so I could use my stereo for music, hands free calling and directions over my speakers. When I installed the wired inline modulator, my radio reception went from bad to worse. I got no AM and spotty FM with only 2 or 3 stations at best.
I installed this antenna booster to try to regain what poor reception I had before.
When I installed it and turned on the stereo I got 12 very strong and clear FM stations, that was just my presets I didn't even try scanning but I'm sure there's more. 2 very strong AM stations (I don't listen to AM very often so that is fine.
My radio reception is way better than it was before. This thing works for me and does exactly what I bought it for, only much better than I even hoped for.
