WORKS GREAT FOR WELL BEHAVED CATS
Tammy✓ Verified PurchaseJune 29, 2023
My parents Maine Coon got ear mites in January. They usually treat Billie AKA Wild Bill year round with Revolution. We live in the country & fleas & ticks are so bad here that half the town has Lyme disease. 2 years ago, my husband was getting ready for bed. When he turned around, there was the bull's-eye rash. I damn near had a stroke. I told him when we pick corn to always wear long sleeves & tuck our jeans into our boots. We went with my parents to take Billie to the vet & he gave us ear mite medicine, prednisone, my parents bought him his Revolution, & the vet put the plastic E-Collar on him. Mid February he started to heal up nice, until he got the E-Collar off and shredded his face. My parents rushed him to the vet & he had to get stitches. After the stiches were removed, when my parents were leaving to go shopping, Wild Bill ran out the door & took off like a bat out of hell. He was missing for 5 days , with his E-Collar on. When he came back, it was gone & they were back at one. I said that's it! I'm bringing him to our house & we're going to take care of him. Since we own 22 rescue cat's, we're use to the Wild Bill cats...lol I liked this E-Collar & also liked
the Kong Cloud E-Collar so I bought them both. Good thing I did because we use both of them on him. Wild Bill is the Houdini of cats & can get out of anything. He got out of both & tore himself up again. Round 2 back to the vet charged 180 dollars. Since this happened under our care, we decided to pay the vet bill. Here's how we outsmarted Wild Bill. With both these E-Collars, I first put on what I call The Alfie Pet, with his Kong Collar. I put on a cat collar & helps to secure the Kong & then I put the Alfie in front of it & got string & strung them together. Wild Bill is angry because he cant get them off. Hopefully this helps another cat owner who has a Wild Bill cat...lol We have a rescue British Shorthair named Little Boy, who's not so little. If you know anything about the British Shorthairs, these are the coolest cats on the planet & very laid back. Little Boy would only need one Alfie Collar & not an Alfie , with a Kong. If you have a Little Boy cat, I highly recommend this. If you have a Wild Bill, you'll need the Alfie & the Kong & break out the string.
BEST corgi cone!

Our sweet girl Moxie has grass allergies at the beginning of summer, so when she gets an itch, she will NOT leave it alone. It's terrible 😢 She will growl at us when we try to put medicine on a hot spot she caused - the works! 😩

This is the ONLY cone that has:
1. Worked with her long corgi body
2. Not hurt her neck
3. Worked perfectly as a pillow
4. Allowed her to navigate Life easily
5. Has not bruised our shins and scraped the walls/loudly banged around under the bed in the middle of the night
6. Has been super simple to wash
7. Has withstood the test of time

The mother of all bonus points: she walks right up when we call her to put it on! She is totally unbothered, and for a corgi that is really saying something. The buttons are great - she is afraid of the loud tearing sound of Velcro. We don't even have to re-button it each time bc her cute lil face pops right through the middle with ease! 🦊

Does it look like her face is in the middle of the Looney Tunes logo? Yes. Is that part of the fun for us? Definitely. She is comfortable and happy when wearing it so we can't say enough good things about it, and have shared the name with friends and strangers alike!

It has been a total lifesaver for our house.
Love it

Very lightweight and my dog doesn't mind it all all. She can eat, drink, rest her head, go up stairs. Much better than blow up ones or those hard ones.
Better than the clear Ecollars but sizing is wrong

This is much better than those clear e-collars for our dog. She has one eye & those e-collars block her vision even more. The Toby e-collar lays toward her shoulders so it doesnt block her vision. It's big enough so that she couldnt like her knee incision after surgery. It was much more comfortable for her to sleep in. Only negative is the sizing is wrong. Needs bigger sizes available. We couldnt use the snaps closer to her neck. Too tight. It did stay snapped while she slept tho.
Combine with inflatable collar for the win!

My Doberman HATES the regular plastic cone. As in, he freezes and won't move. He just shakes with anxiety. This one is tolerable. He was able to sleep in it and he had a bit less of a freeze response.

This collar has inside foam tubes not loose stuffing. The tubes are very flexible and still soft enough that he can lay his head down. The material is water resistant (I haven't dunked it, but it looks like it would hold up to getting very wet), and the entire cone is much lighter than the reglar plastic one.

The size works really well to keep him out of his abdominal area, but he was still able to reach his feet. It may not be a problem with most dogs, but Dobermans have long (adorable) snouts, necks, legs. I'm going to sew on one more "ring" to make it a little larger and that should do it. They should definitely have a long-nose version for the Greyhounds, Weimaraners, Dobermans, and stretched out puppers of the world.

EDIT: The winning combo for effectiveness is this soft ring WITH an inflatable doughnut collar placed behind it to limit neck movement. I also added a ring to this collar with trimmed pool noodle as the inside and some scrap fabric. The two collars together make it fool proof and still comfortable.
