This 8-inch chef's knife feels good in your hand, very sharp and cuts food easily.

First I want to say "this is a terrific KNIFE!" I purchased this knife because I have a mod podge of different knives plus a cheap set that came in a block which isn't very sharp. When I bought it I thought it would be more for my husband to use as I have small hands & arthritis but I found it is very comfortable/easy to use...not to heavy. Very sharp...we used it first on corned beef brisket & it cut thru like butter as they say. Also did great with the cabbage & carrots. My husband was even impressed. The box it comes in is very nice...making it perfect for gift giving.

This is by far my new favorite Kitchen accessory. It is elegant, classy and overall, any way you slice it, chop it or dice it, this knife is sharp in performance and looks. I like that the blade is formed and transitions from the handle. There is no worry of the blade becoming loose and or falling out while chopping or slicing as is common with many kitchen knives. This is a solid piece. It is precise and does the job better than any other knife I have used before. I can even slice through a block of aged cheddar without hesitation and the cut is crisp and smooth. It dices veggies without any effort. It cuts through pineapple too without getting stuck in mid-slice. It is true when it states that you can use the entire blade for cutting. It glides cleanly through my foods. The wood handle creates comfort in the grip and adds the elegance of the design. The blade design adds to its character. The packaging is top of the line, an easy flap opening makes it easy to access and I like that the case interior is molded to hold the knife to prevent slipping or shifting. The case is a great way to store the knife when not in use. This knife a functional and a nice showpiece, a "must have in the kitchen" and I am excited to show it off when preparing a meal in front of a group of friends at our dinner parties.

This knife is surprisingly light, but very sharp. I just received it, so I only used it a couple times today, but so far, I really like it. I liked that when I washed it after using it, the water beaded just like in the picture - I don't know what that means, but I was excited to see a product actually look exactly like the picture.
