Awesome ! I bought as I read it was addictive so I figured if it was addictive is was really good. I love this thing! It takes time to get used to how to use the tools and later floors with the correct dimension info. I learned a lot of basic construction just by playing with this software. I had an issue with the 3D functions and after a few chats with the tech support I learned my computers video card needed to be upgraded. The tech sent me a link to get the right upgrade for my computer - he went above and beyond software support and it works without any flaws now. Amazed by this software. Take the time to watch the tutorial videos on line and save often as you experiment with the tools.

For what I needed, it was fine.

Seems to me that this is an upgraded version of the program I had back in the 90's. I was a little disappointed in that, but like I said it did what I needed.

While I'd like it to do some things it doesn't, they're few. I enjoy it to the point of addiction and the flexibility of design possibilities are fun and numerous. I think most any style of home can be built. I was thinking of buying artcatectual Legos to build houses. This is better. My only wish is that I could custom-color things like siding and fabric.

This program is terrific for quick and easy layouts and for putting in lots of little details too. My wife and I will be building a retirement home and have made six versions so far, each one building upon the previous version. We're still not there, but getting close. It's easy and intuitive to use, and the users guide and online tutorials explain things extremely well. We will give the finished product to a few builders so bidding will be apples to apples. The only problem is it's so much fun, I've been up til 2, 3 or 4 in the morning playing with it! Highly recommended.

After my computer crash I ordered this new version of my 10year old previous Home Designer Suite. Surprised to find very little difference from the old one. Easy to use for on the spot designing, great features, and great value for the price. No complaints but hate the fact that you now have to click an icon to move the design. Great design program for quick, easy layouts.
