Make sure 2.4 and 5ghz are on separate SSID's

I am on a mesh network which combined the 2.4 and 5ghz bandwidths. Even though the app was allowing me to connect the phone to the 2.4ghz, the phone was connected to both. You have to use your router login and separate the two bands and have them come up as 2 different internet connections. Once I did this (after much headache) the devices worked perfect. I also swapped the included connectors for the wagu style ones. They work much better.
It is pretty big. You need some space for it

It is pretty big if you trying to fit it into the ceiling lamp box. I end up finding bigest one to tight fit it. Luckily that box was accessable from the attick so I was able to adjust it's height toward the drywall sheet. After that was bit weird set up with the Alexa ( kinda backward, you not adding it from the Alexa app, you adding it To the Alexa from it's product app)
But overall it solved my problem with the light fixture without the switch on its line. Which is great ðŸ'‚

I love this switch! I bought a second unit because the first one worked great and allowed me to control devices in another room. I have one connected to an exhaust fan and the other to a dehumidifier. I can now control each from my Android phone. With the addition of a camera, I can easily see and control the conditions without having to run into the room. Correct placement of the switch and I can bypass automatic temperature and humidity controls in an emergency. The clips for the wires were a little confusing and i didn't use them on the first switch. I thought they were garbage because they didn't hold the wire tight. When the second switch arrived, my nephew showed me that I was not opening the clips all the way. From that point it took us under a minute to strip wires and connect to my phone. That simple. Setting up schedules are a little grueling and the app definitely could be better. But it works and with time and creativity you can accomplish most anything. (48 entries for an action every half hour).

I bought this because I wanted to see if I could control my new pool light using my Amazon Alexa. I had recently changed out my light to a 12" Pool Baron nicheless LED pool light, so I needed something that would switch both the hot as well as the neutral lines at the same time. More importantly, I needed something that would be powerful enough to be able to pick up my wifi while being installed in a metal circuit breaker box located outside of my home.
I chose the eMylo because they use the Tuya WiFi module, which is supposed to be the best as far as strength. The breaker box is outside, is 100% metal (with a 2nd metal cover that covers it), and is about 40-50' from my WiFi router. I had tried others but they could not pick up the WiFi once the breaker box cover was closed "“ the eMylo was the only one that worked!
I changed out the regular on/off power switch to a DPDT on/off/on switch so I could turn the light on manually if needed, but thanks to this switch I am able to use the Alexa with the Smart life app. Sweet! I had also had some concerns early on and eMylo was very good in helping me out. Five stars!
