It is a beautiful peice of craftsmanship. The Bluetooth tech is excellent. CD Quality is again excellent. Radio reception is great. Now the sound quality is truly HiFi Stereo Quality, rarely found in any boom box or bookshelf type all-in-one music system.
2 Bass responce speakers
2 mid-range speakers
2 tweeters.
...and you can hear the quality.
The beauty of the wood cabinet and integrated CD player, control panel, data screen, and buttons allow this to be appreciated and bragged about in any room in your home. It is an addition to your home you will want to "show-off" it's quality. The sound is a big Wow, it is OMG impressive. I am a musician (guitar, piano, bass & voice)and listen with a critical ear. The best that any good system can do is reproduce the sound "Cleanly & Accurately" using words like "crisp, clean & pure" server as high praise. This system is very Clean and Accurate! Cymbals, flutes, lead guitar jams, the crispness of an acoustic country guitar all need tweeters to reproduce cleanly - this system has 2 tweeters. Vocals from rock to ballads to country to R&B will need dedicated midrange speakers - this system has 2 of them. And, without solid bass responce speakers all you have is that tin can sound. This system has 2 six inch bass responce speakers. Now, the real test after hearing how crisp this system is, is to crank-it-up. Maintaining the ability to stay clean at volume shows the speakers themselves are well made. I don't think I'd turn it up to 10 for any length of time - but at just over 5/6 it was so loud from the bed room we were yelling to turn it down from the living room (2 bedroom apartment), but in the living room I could still hear all the instruments and vocals, Nice!
I saw it in the all black version too which is very sleek and stealth.
It was a house warming gift, the first thing they did was plug it in and connect to Bluetooth and played a song list. The happy grins and smiles were ear to ear.
Without a surround system (this comes with the cord to connect to the audio outs of a TV) this unit was quickly moved from the bedroom to the living room and hooked up to a 47"" LG TV. Look I'm not overselling here, it's not a surround system with a fancy receiver, 5 speakers and a Sub, but better then the TV's speakers, you can count on it! What an upgrade! And, at 16lbs you know this is a serious all in one unit that excels in everything it claims it can do. You will not be disappointed. $200, is a lot for a bookshelf all in one unit but this one is Def worth every penny.
*Note:
If High fidelity Stereo and real craftsmanship is what you need at a very fair price without giving-up any quality, this is it, stop looking and start buying.
If money is the main worry, and you just want the basic radio all in one - keep looking there's lots of cheap/inexpensive Boomboxes under a 70 dollars.fyi anything that proudly offers "bass boost" or alike is a flimflam scam. Over amplifying the bass is a trick to cover-up the systems ability to be Clean, instead the word "muddy" is used to discribe sound reproduction.
Choice is yours - those choices are Clean or Muddy
