Fantastic customer service!

Bought this to provide mobility to a cancer patient. Works very well to move the patient from house to car, and from car to inside doctor's office, hospital, etc. The backrest makes it pretty comfortable. It is pretty easy to fold and unfold, except that the first time it was being used, a hospital worker had trouble unfolding it, and broke off a peg that serves to hold the shopping bag. The chair worked fine without that peg (we didn't use the shopping bag) but I wanted to get it fixed. I emailed customer service, and Mandy immediately identified the part, shipped it out, and provided me with a tracking number. Fantastic customer service!
Great for Traveling with Elderly Mom

I bought this to use on a cruise I recently took with my mom. She can walk but is not very steady on her feet, and endurance level is a problem. I needed something that I could use as a transport chair if she was too tired to keep walking on various tours, etc. It was a great solution for us! It arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble. It is great as a walker. The wheels are big and can handle uneven terrain well. It is also lightweight and easy to load in the car or to even carry if needed. We used airport wheelchair assistance for the most part, but once we got to our gates, she used the walker and the seat held her carry on items! It was no problem taking it with us on the plane. You just check it at the gate, and then they have it waiting for you when you get off the plane. We only used it a couple of times as a transport chair, but it worked great. A couple of things to consider. If using it as a transport chair, it is probably not the most comfortable. If a transport chair is needed for regular use, you may want something that has more back support or a softer cushion. Also, if using as a transport chair, there are no arm rests. This could be an issue if the person riding it needs arm rests to push themselves out of the seat. We just made sure the brakes were locked, and my mom was able to push up from the sides of the chair or by holding onto something nearby. It wasn't really a problem for us. The chair "collapses" very easily by pulling up on the handle in the middle of the seat. It certainly decreases the width of the walker and makes it easier to store, but the back wheels still "stick out." Basically, you can't fold up the back wheels. I am happy we bought this!
Walker/ wheel chair

I used this while on a cruise before knee surgery. It worked wonderfully. I used it as a walker, until my knee hurt so bad I gave in and used it as a wheel chair. Work well for both operations. The foot rest do not stay up well so I tied them up when not in use. Many people asked where I got it. I would tell them and the price. They were surprised that it was so reasonably priced. I hope I never need it again, but I know it will work well for me if I do. Sturdy and lightweight. I took it on the plane, easy the go through check points with.
Improvement needed for 5 stars

This design is wonderful for my dad when going to doctor appointments. He can use a walker but when he tires (easily) and we still have a long way to go to various doctor offices or clinics, I've had to drag him around in his walker. This great device solved that beautifully by being able to convert it into a wheelchair. It folds up very quick and easily (MUCH more easily than his walker). 2 issues keep me from being able to give it 5 stars... 1. The handles/grips need to bee extendable because the person sitting uses them as arm rests however, the person left pushing now has to bend forward and often times has their hands under the armpits of the rider. If the handles could telescope out, the pusher wouldn't have to bend over so much and the rider would have more space to rest their arms. 2. There isn't any side bars. Weakened individuals dependant on walkers need assistance in getting into and out of their seats. They need an arm rest or low bar of sorts to balance and stabilize their up/down motion. This also is needed when going down ramps for them to hang on to. Once while heading down a ramp, we hit a bump and my dad was nearly catapulted out of his chair as he had nothing to anchor him in.
Other than that, this walker/wheelchair has been great! I'd love to see if these improvements can be made. It doesn't seem like a difficult improvements

Good but Seat Cap Doesn't Stay in Place

There are two plugs that hold the seat in place. They are very loose fitting and pop out and get lost. I contacted the supplier, Brandline, via their web page. They responded by email very quickly. I gave them my address and amazon order number and they are shipping me new plugs. They also said "you can use 502 glue or AB glue to attach them." I'll probably do that.
