Now I'm no genius and after reading the reviews I expected this to be difficult/ confusing to install, it really wasn't. Tbh my biggest issue was user error as I stabbed my finger with a screw while installing the thingy into the doorframe. Even with a big, awkward bandage on my hand I finished the installation pretty easily. Only complaint with the product itself is that you can't get to the "emergency keyhole" without a secondary tool. Which seems a bit dumb to me. Overall a good buy though, worth the money and I'd buy again if we needed a second one.

This product was easy to install if you have installed doorknobs before. I put the batteries in and it immediately opened with the preset code it came with. I have used it almost a month with the preset code, and I can enter any numbers in front of the 4 digit code and it opens like a charm.
I like that it locks automatically when I close the door. I have changed the User code following the simple instructions, and will change the door code also.

I really feel my home is secure with the touch pad lock especially when my children misplace their keys. This is great investment. One downside is much keep the emergency backup key and tiny wrench somewhere safe and close. I have recently experienced the lockouts

Great lock, with the ability to add multiple entry codes.
Installation is typical for any door lock, but BEWARE"¦.this lock cannot be used as-is in a steel door. The only lock that is included requires mortising into the door. I was able to file off the mortise tabs and use the existing g steel ring to center in the horizontal lock hole.
After that, it installed easily and worked fine.
Doesn't really have key override, since the outer handle has to be removed to access the keyhole.
