I've had the Equator 2020 24" Combo Washer Dryer for 10 months. First off, the manufacture contacted me before shipping to confirm the delivery address, and provide critical unpacking and setup instructions. Shortly after delivery, they contacted me again to see how all was going, and see if I had any questions. I had just installed this unit in my 5th Wheel (I'm a full time RVer), and ran my first load of wash through it prior to the call. At that point, I was experiencing a possible issue, and had a theory as to the cause and solution, but had not completed my troubleshooting/resolution process. The lady on the phone initiated a trouble/support ticket while on the phone, even though I felt it was premature for that. But she wanted to do anyway, get it in the pipe, in case I did need help. I thought that was awesome!! I completed my troubleshooting, and was able to implement a simple solution. In short, my theory was right, and my solution solved everything. When support contacted me, I advised what I had experienced, what I believed was the cause, and how I solved it. The gentleman from support concurred with everything. So, for the problem: This unit has two dryer configurations. Vent-less, which uses cold water and a condenser to dry, and vented. I chose vent-less, rather than boring a hole for the vent at this time. I don't recall the specs, but the manual advises how much space is required around the unit on top, sides, and back for air flow. In vent-less, the unit generates and holds more heat than vented. My 5th wheel had a cabinet specifically for a washer or washer/dryer combo, pre wired and plumbed except for the dyer vent. This cabinet met the specifications for top and back, but was short for the sides. Thus, would not allow enough air flow around the unit during the vent-less dry cycle. The unit would basically lock up (the electronics/control panel) during the dry cycle (no issues during wash cycle). I added a fan to move air through the cabinet. With the fan running, all works fine, and has done so for 10 months. I do think that venting rather than vent-less would be a better solution. The unit uses more water and generates more heat, in vent-less/condenser mode than when it's vented. Not really practical in an RV, especially if boondocking situation. I may go ahead and vent my unit at some point. Meanwhile, it just works great. Plus, I don't always use the dryer feature. I use a cloths line or drying rack for most (but not all) washes when/if practical. My cloths etc. come out very clean!! I'm glad I went with this brand and model. Originally I was looking at a more common/popular brand and model. But ended up choosing this one due to the fact the other brand/model had made a big jump in price right before I was ready to purchase. This caused me to research a little. And, at the time, this unit had a higher percentage of positive reviews, and had a better price.

I got this for my Fleetwood Bounder RV that I'm living in since I sold my house. I got it in December. So there are several things about this machine that I've learned. The main thing is that it works well when the load is very small. Like I'll run 2 pr jeans together which take about 20 more minutes of drying time after the cycle. Any more in the drum and everything is too wrinkled to wear. I'll do several tee shirts, undies and socks together. As long as the drum is less than half full, the tees are not too wrinkled to wear. I have this unit vented BTW. I don't think it probably works any better vented than ventless. The vented heat is not even forceful enough to open the flap on the outside vent. And my vent hose is less than a couple feet. I have to keep that propped open. I don't think that is working properly. I made several attempts to speak with someone at the company with no luck and no return call to my many messages. Like others, I agree their service sucks and is at the complete opposite end of the spectrum from Amazon's. So I just have to use this machine as is. Sometimes I smell burned hair smells when I open the door during a dry cycle. That can't be good. I'll also do a queen sheet at a time, like do the flat sheet, then do the fitted and cases together. I think if this vented better, it would take more clothes per load. I guess I'm grateful to have it. I have lots of dog beds and my duvet covers that all have to go to the laundry mat, so it's not like this machine keeps me out of the mat. But I can run my favorite jeans and tees whenever I need them which is great. Now my routine is to do dog beds and throws at the mat and then sheets and clothes here in this. I would rate this 4 stars if the company would answer their phone. I can't even get a text from them🤦ðŸ»"â'€ï¸ðŸ¤·ðŸ»"â'€ï¸

11/28/22 Edit - I very quickly received a communication from the seller after I posted my review to try to resolve any problems. They have been extremely responsive by txt messaging. Recently, my machine stopped drying and threw a code on the display. I texted them about it and they immediately shipped parts directly to me and set up for a local repairman to come out. He contacted me the day after the parts got here and came out that same day!! He got my machine up and running again, no fuss, no muss. I have to commend them on their customer service now!!

Enough for one person! Couple days of clothes wash and dry and no wrinkles. Down comforter fits and comes out with no wrinkles! I chose to vent the unit which in my opinion is genius on manufacturer to offer! Must use he products and fabric softener for best results. Love my baby combo unit! Buy one if have a small space. As advertised it does what they say!

"¢ The splitter that comes with the item does not feet with the shower. The shower pipe is ½ inch diameter, while the splitter and the water inlet for washing machine are ¾ inch diameter. The ¾ inch diameter is designed for outdoor water hose.
"¢ I had to go to a pluming specialized store to get an adaptor that converts ½ inch to ¾ inch and the splitter that came with the washing machine. Adaptor is male-to-male.
"¢ On one side of splitter I connected the water inlet of washing machine. On another side I connected the shower head.
"¢ The shower head connection needed another adaptor as splitter is ¾ inch and shower head is ½ inch. Adaptor is female-to-male.
"¢ I took the single water inlet line and splitter into two lines. One for hot water inlet and one for cold water inlet. This is standard ¾ inch splitter that is used for gardening water hose.
"¢ For the hot inlet and cold inlet make sure to use the original lines that came with the machine as it has special end that connects to the machine.
"¢ The main issue with this setting is that hot/cold lines are same as my shower water line is single. Therefore, based on the washing machine water temperate, I turn on the water at that temperature. For example, for Standard setting uses warm water. So, I make sure water coming as warm. For heavy duty uses hot water. So, I make sure water coming as hot. This requires adjusting every time you start the machine.

It requires two heating cycle to really dry the cloths. And shake heavily at the spin cycle. Other than that the machine works good.

I ordered this washer/dryer combo for my 85-year-old mom who lives 5 hours away from me. After several years, the dryer on her second EdgeStar brand combo stopped working. I tried to order a replacement from Lowe's, but they kept moving the delivery date back and I finally just cancelled the order. I ordered this Equator on Amazon on January 10, 2021. The estimated delivery date was the end of February, but Mom had it on January 20. That is fantastic since it traveled all the way from California to WV. The gentlemen working for Pilot Freight brought it into her home instead of leaving it out on her porch. SO WONDERFUL! Mom has a lot of red in her home and both of her previous combos were white. She is SO PLEASED that this combo is RED! Mom had someone set it up for her, BUT they failed to follow the setup instruction so the first time she used the machine, it bounced off the wheeled platform my brother had made for her previous combos and made a terrible racket. She tried to hold it down but it "flung her around". As it turns out, the packing material needs to be removed from the stabilizing bars as per the instructions. (NOTE: I would have bought her the wheeled model, but it didn't come in red.)
Anyway, she got some help, the packing material was removed and she says it runs very smoothly, it's very QUIET, more quiet and lighter than her previous combos so it's easier to move, does a great job and doesn't have a scratch on it. She says the clothes come out wrinkled at first, but she hangs them promptly, per the instructions, and the wrinkles hang out. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Amazon. I knew you would DELIVER!
