I was going to do something foolish and drop $1800 on an ARB Zero which only comes with a 3 year warranty. I read some reviews and decided to spend $300 on this and $33 or so for a 3 year insurance plan. I have it loaded with about 20 bottles of water and in 5 hours it went from dead warm (78â°F) to 5â°F. This is plugged into the AC wall outlet. I have it set to -4â° so it will probably take 24 hours or so to ultimately reach that. Purchased for a month long car camping trip, It's a great size. I originally was under the impression that this is a dual-zone fridge/freezer but it seems that the lid just allows air to pass from the large compartment into the small to act as a refrigerator. I'm hoping both compartments operate at 40â° to keep milk cold and food unfrozen. I will update my review if anything notable comes up. Also, the outside is made of flexible plastic....it's pretty close to a knock off ARB design. Heavy duty metal handles and metal interior freezer. Bluetooth app works well. The LOCK feature on the app locks the power button on the fridge.....just a heads up. I thought my power button was broken but it was just that setting. Interior light is a plus, pretty quiet so far and drink holders on lid could be handy. Battery protection settings are a bit backwards, L is for low battery, not low protection. High is for higher power output, not high battery protection. The instructions are pretty short but its a simple device. As other people mentioned, I would recommend chilling this thing for 24 hours on AC power before putting it in your car.

UPDATE: So far I love it. Setting the temp to 35â°F with the basket installed will keep the big compartment at perfect refrigerator temperature, and the smaller compartment stays around 50â°F which would be perfect for bread storage or pre-cooling items you plan to put in the large compartment. It still will keep your drinks or snacks decently cold. I've been running it nonstop for about a week off of the car charger port on a power station. It will run for 2 days straight on a 1000wh power station set to 35â°F in a room that is always 75-80â°F. I expect it to perform much longer in a car that is usually pretty cold to begin with. It's still pretty quiet while running and pulls about 30-50 watts while the compressor is on. I would definitely buy this size again for the price and protection plan offered. Super happy with the purchase.

This CF35 Alpicool car fridge(freezer) arrived via UPS on its side and in a "amazon" box way to big. Manufacturers box was well packed and protected. I let the unit sit upright for 12 hours on my shop bench before starting up. Ambient temperature in the shop was 68 when I started the unit. Within 15 minutes the unit temp was down to 45'. I put my amp meter on the unit during run mode and it draws .38 amps at 115volts so around 43 watts actual power consumption. That was in MAX mode. It has ECO mode but didn't measure. Its watts power use is lower than some of the "professional" review pages I'd read had reported. Unit is whisper quiet. It does occasionally make some "gurgling" noise as the owners manual mentions. The outside controls face temperature does move up or down +minus 3degrees as some reviewers noted but the stick thermometer I placed inside the unit read a steady 40' all day. I DON"T plan on running this unit on "freezer" mode but strictly fridge mode inside my Ford Sportsmobile camper Van. I'll be running this thing off 12 volt system (1.7kw lithium battery + 175watt solar on roof) operating in my Van except on those rare occasions when I happen to be at a RV park. I think this little unit will work just fine for my needs and the price$ with 3 year extended warranty was just under $300. Can't beat that with a stick! This little fridge performed beautifully!
App setup on my android phone was easy and always connected if I was within 15 feet. Outside temp reading moved around +- 3 degrees but the manual stick thermometer I placed inside the compartment always read 42'.
I had more than enough space for 10 day trip, just me. No issues on power draw while off grid, while also running my portable ice maker and my CPap at night. It's going into my wife's CRv for our upcoming trip to Southwest.

I drive a semi truck and. This thing works amazing vools way dow to below 0. Quiet and. Works fast. Love it deff recommend it to any one who travles. Amazing product

I order this fridge freezer on very hot weather. Thought I can put in car during work. But the first week running the freezer at home stoped the idea. It pretty quick arrived the temperature setting as the instruction, but it would running every 5-10 minutes even I didn't open the fridge. I stop the power a hour one day, temperature up to 50F from 20F. I was afraid that will drag my car battery, cause other problem. I wonder why, so called CS, she was nice but doesn't have more information. End up she ordered me a replacement to compare. Insulation of the fridge need improve. Otherwise it's a nice fridge. Lower than 60W. I purchased a power station and solar panel. Will not use car battery to run it. I returned one of fridge to Amazon, First time I am not happy with the return delivery process. Still waiting Amazon post the status.

I bought this Alpicool CF45 Portable Fridge Freezer back in Jan, 2023 and just started to use it at this summer. With a few trips on it, I am very satisfied with this product as follows:

(1) it is quiet. The noise does not bother me when I sleep at night with this Fridge Freezer a small few feet away from me in my van.

(2) it is energy efficient. I used my Jackery Explore 500w to power this tiny machine via AC adaptor and I had no problem getting through 3 full days long weekend trip. With DC to DC, the power would last much longer!

(3) while the compressor works, it pulls about 28w-39w for a minute or two to bring down the temperature. During maintenance, it pulls only 2w-5w or so.

(4) I would like to say special thanks to the seller. I bought this product in Jan and 6-7 months later, I could not find the DC to DC charger with the product and I never used the DC to DC charger at all. I asked for a replacement and the seller immediately sent me a replacement without asking any question except the shipping address. The seller is certainly not liable for sending me replacement charger after such long period but the company is graceful to send me one promptly anyway.
