I purchased the two parts separately with fingers crossed. Took me a little while to figure out how to link them, but I did and it's working great! Deer (likely) have tripped it a couple of times, but I was aware of that possibility, and it's no big deal to me. Glad I found this/these.

I have 1100 ft of driveway with lots of trees in front of the house and about 50 ft of elevation change. I was just hoping for it to reach halfway but the signal covers the entire drive with no problems. Make sure to fully charge the sensor before using. Just set it up today so no idea about longevity of the solar unit. So far, looks like money well spent.

Screws that came with it are cheap junk. Toss them and use some good stainless steel ones.
Mounted outside by the cattle guard on the driveway near the hwy. pointing in towards the property so as to not pickup traffic on the hwy. Initial setup was high sensitivity, lots of false alerts. Switched to low, and trimmed tall grass in front of it. Much better. Tested by walking up driveway, had wife ride past it on riding mower while I was up at the house. Worked fine. It detected the UPS, FEDEX, propane and trash truck and my Jeep Commander. But for some reason, it will not detect my wife's Hyundai Elantra. Have gotten some false alarms, but those could have been critters passing by. We can't see the cattle guard from the house. It's about 900 feet away and there is a tree line between us. The dogs quickly learned that the sound means STRANGER! and run outside to bark at them. We'll soon see how it handles a Wyoming winter and update next spring.
Update 27 Sep 2023. Did not pick up UPS entering, did pick it up exiting. Still not picking up wife's Elantra.

I am happy overall with this product. It was very easy to install and is not overly sensitive. But best of all, it gives me peace of mind by letting me know when someone is entering our property. It is solar and has a 110 adapter. I charged it initially and the sun has kept it charged. It has four different chimes, so you can install four different sensors. The only drawback I've found is the tones of the different chimes. They are all somewhat hard on the ears...
