This product adds a bluetooth option to the Becker/ Harmon Kardon traffic pro receivers. It is no frills, it only allows streaming from a bluetooth device to the receiver; two way communication to a cell phone for calls is not supported. You can't browse files or control apps such as spotify from the receiver using the device. It simply streams the audio sent from the bluetooth source. The audio quality is very good, much better than FM transmitter or modulation types. The device does seem to stay powered up even with the vehicle ignition off. I cut the red wire from the connector and spliced it to a power source only with the vehicle ignition on to prevent battery drain. To get a reasonable listening volume level the volume level of the source unit will need to be at full volume. I use this to stream Spotify from my phone and am very satisfied.
