After a recent back injury, I've had some significant pain when I bent down far enough to reach my feet when trying to put on my shoes. I really dislike plastic products so I was happy to see this wood option. And it helps enormously, sparing me having to bend this last inches to get my shoes on. A lifesaver! I bought this to replace a longer one that I lost. It is very nice, strong and thick with a nice slippery finish. My only issue is that it is shorter than my pervious one. If it were six inches longer I would rate it 5 stars.

I have some difficulty bending over far enough to use a regular size shoehorn. This one is an ideal length for me when standing and makes it easy to get into a pair of dress shows or a pair of low cut work boots. That, and it looks rather nice hanging in my closet. I had originally purchased a longer, metal shoehorn, but it bent to the point of being useless. I then tried a plastic one. It worked great for several months but broke when I happened to be in a bit of a rush. This one just seems to be more ergonomically styled and more sturdily made and I expect it to last for years.
