I have the big one but wanted smaller size for boiling water for my coffee (pour over) and this size takes up less space on the counter. I wish it had the lid opening trigger, like the large size kettle, as there isn't much to grab on to this lid to open it.

I have a Secura stainless French press that I love. So when I found this perfect little kettle, snapped it right up. Only 4 stars because of the pour. No matter how slow or cautiously I pour, water will run all over the counter. You have to be careful. I am concerned that after time, of water coming into contact with the bottom metal screws, that it will rust. Which is why my last kettle was replaced.

After much research and debate on which electric kettle to purchase, I chose the Secura stainless steel double wall 1L kettle. Couldn't be happier with my choice. I had previously bought a smaller kettle which I loved and wanted a slightly larger capacity one. This Secura kettle is just the right size for 2 large 16 oz cups of liquid. I definitely would buy again

It's a kettle that boils water. It does the job well and at 1/6th the price of the fancy KitchenAid one that nearly burned my house down it was worth the purchase.
If you have a KitchenAid, I highly recommend you look up the model number. After mine melted the recepticle in the kitchen, I discovered that it had been recalled 7 years ago because it was a fire hazard.

Bought this for my mom. Like the automatic shutoff so that she doesn't forget the boiling water on the stove. Comes to a boil fairly fast but after a little while, the automatic shutoff feature stopped working. Not too happy about that.
