i've tried to make a starter several times and always failed or it did not live too long. This is gret for those of us who want the sourdough but don't have time to take care of another child. It's a little pricey in my opion and wishing/hoping to see a price adjustment in the near future.

I add it to my real starter, when I want to speed up making a loaf of real sourdough for dinner. Only takes 1/2t to speed up the bread....

I thought this was sourdough starter....the kind you feed and keep and use and needed.
It is a one time shot of yumminess.....no starter to keep and feed. Great flavor.
Only caveat is that it is a one time thing. So it all gets used in place of yeast. It made great bread.
BUT, it is expensive for a single use. Makes your bread more expensive than buying from a fancy bread store....
Next time around...I am getting a starter.
