I actually got these because I have a window seat that I keep plants on. They ruined the paint from overwatering, shedding flowers, etc. We re-sanded and painted the ledge, but I hated to put the plants on them again. These saved the day. They are very soft silicone, have a little lip to catch over-watering, and are so white, you hardly even notice them. Love, love, love these.

If you have cats and dogs like me my cats sit at the water and digs at it and splashes it all over the floor and of course my dogs after drinking water take a full mouthful and let it drip all over around the water so I definitely would like a higher lip on the edge other than it being white and always having dirty paw prints every time I clean in it is relatively easy to clean and looks very nice

This mat is wonderful, it saved my hardwood floors from water spills from my kitty's fountain. It is thicker than I thought it would be, but in a great way... it has a raised edge to prevent any liquid from running off of it. It is simple, easy to clean and really quite attractive. The color is vibrant and while the mat is very soft to the touch, the bowls stay put. I will buy more of these! They'd be great for non pet needs as well. I craft with beads, I plan to get one as a craft mat. They'd be great for young kids placemats as well. My niece and nephew used to constantly spill at the table. The raised edge would have saved me a lot of work.
If you need a non slip mat for your pets, this is easily the best I've found.

I bought two of these mats to place my cats' bowls. They are really nice and work extremely well. The only problem is that they get dirty within minutes literally. While they are super easy to clean, I feel that I have to clean them every few minutes because every tiny dust particle or tiny cat fur sticks to it quickly. And, it is really visible because it is white. So, if you're a little bit of a clean freak like me, I recommend a different color.
