OK so this is yet another system I purchased from TonTon Security and again I am very satisfied with its performance! It is one of the best in their medium line professional product. I install security systems and so far this one has been the easiest to set up.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

Initial setup is really easy. They use a wizard that completes very quickly, hassle free. They pair the cameras up with the NVR from the factory which saves me a lot of time, so you are not "discovering" cameras. One by one the cameras are quickly autoloaded once the internal network wizard is setup.

TonTon uses this pre-paired format on other cameras of theirs that I have installed.

The appearance and quality is rugged tough for outdoor installation. The included software is not hard to get familiar with.

The cameras only need one cable running from them, the power adapters. You may choose to use wired ethernet but you do not have to. Then NVR system will create its own network and the cameras seamlessly connect to it. So the benefit here is that you do NOT have to pair it with your own house or business wifi. So your bandwidth is not being interfered with. This was a big plus in one of my installations. If you wish to manage/monitor the cameras remotely then of course you will want to pair it with your wifi in order to do that.

The video is very sharp. You do get full HD quality. On my first install we pushed the video to several 4K monitors and were impressed with even the night vision view. It uses what is called IR Cut filtering to get sharp night vision. The PIR sensor works great! This is where the cameras use a sensor that checks the temperature of the moving object from several different angles; the result is a better sense of the camera knowing if motion detection is accidental outdoor object or real person.

We installed a 2 TB inside this one just to have longer storage rotation time. It was very easy to upgrade the hard drive. Less than 5 minutes. Do remember to format the new drive if you do it. This is done from the menu screen in the software.

My favorite features are the email alerts and the fact that each camera acts like a wifi repeater pushing the signal along to the next cameras around it. Result is a strong internal bandwidth if installed strategically.

Cons

Not many cons! One thing to note is that the Included weather covers for the cable may sometimes not be sufficient if you have a very wet/rainy install location, so use your electrical tape enough to make watertight connections. We just use PVC pipe tubing when it calls for such location installs.

Overall this Is system is well worth the price. I would definitely purchase this again and recommend it. Will do a video review after the next purchase.

Had an issue with lost password, remarkable service, after two years, the tech service was abel help and resolved the lost password error.

Replace this system with an older one the older system ( xmartO) , the auto repairing work half the time. needed to unplugged it and plug it back in for it to re connect, system almost 2 years. The Tonto system is an upgrade and in use for two weeks no issues very impressed, highly recommend it.. The auto paring is an awesome feature. It came with four camera's and I add four more from the older system and it worked grate with no issues. the only con is the camera bracket set screws

I read the reviews from some here and there were comments about the setup being difficult. While I did have to read through the instructions I can understand why some would say setup is a little challenging. Fortunately I have had some experience setting up a DVR camera security system for our HOA clubhouse and pool so everything went OK. You need to determine where to set up your DVR so it has hardwire Internet access and proximity to a HDTV monitor or VGA monitor. HDMI works best. The location of the DVR needs to be in central location in your house/building so the wireless cameras all are in range. There is a hardwire option (Ethernet) or you can configure one of the remote cameras to act as a repeater for those cameras that are out of range. I am taking my time setting up 2 cameras per day at each location on my house and so far I have had no range issues. The instructions mention that two walls can cause difficulties but I have put two cameras three walls between my cameras and the DVR and the signal is good. The only minor complaints I have is the cameras come preprogrammed and are assigned specific camera numbers and they are not marked. So I had to plug in each camera and when they booted I had to mark the camera number on the label on each camera so I could determine placement. I also had one camera missing the mounting hardware. The cameras were a little bigger than I expected and are very noticeable. I guess in a way that is a good thing as it would deter a crook from approaching the property. Night vision works a lot better than I expected. The IsmKit online app I loaded on my phone works well. I can hear activity outside when enabling the microphone on a camera. I did have a connection issue when I tried using the app away from my house but there may have been a cloud server outage - will try again later and may need to update my review if I have additional problems. There are a lot of nice features with the DVR sending alarms when motion is detected and the technology mentions it is smart enough to eliminate false swarms (rain, bugs, spider webs). I will test this later. Overall I am impressed with the quality and think the cost is reasonable for what you get. UPDATE: a few days after I installed the last pair of cameras, the last camera I installed failed. The audio worked but no video. All I could get on video were some vertical lines. I did all the troubleshooting I could and reached out to Amazon. They went through their checklist but could not help. They gave me a credit and I ordered a replacement. Synching the replacement camera was easy. One feature about these cameras is i can speak to anyone within 10 feet of the camera. There is a slight delay but I understand this since the cameras are set up for Wi-Fi. The only feature I would like to see added is the ability to slow remote users access to one camera i choose. Currently there is no way to restrict remote access to each camera for read only and playback. It is all cameras or none. One of my cameras in our back yard also covers our HOA clubhouse and our HOA could benefit from the ability to review videos recorded from that camera. So far i am pleased with the performance of the system. I did work with the manufacturer tech support when I had problems with the failed camera and they provided the camera firmware I needed to reinstall the firmware on the camera. I will add another update as time goes on.

Good system for the price, We got 4 cameras with 8 channels we are adding 4 more cameras in a few weeks. We ran into some trouble trying to add additional cameras nothing worked, so we messaged tech support and go a response back fairly quickly, we found out we where trying to add internet standalone cameras to the 8 channel systems. Once we got that done the cameras worked fine on their own, I just wished the stand alone cameras could be integrated into the system we have. The quality of the cameras are good, Chinese english translation sometimes leaves your head scratching but, I like the system and once we figured out our mistake everything went smoothly. I would recommend this system to anyone needing security.

I wish only the angle of view was larger (it's almost 85 degrees!), at least 110 degrees we expect these days as the other brands in the market.
The IR and night vision is strong! Voice is not really functional,
Setup is easy, kinda plug and play.
No extra cost for cloud, it comes with 1TB HDD.
Remote access via phone and pc is reliable!

I had technical issues to add additional IP cameras to existing NVR, emailed costumer service ,they were available and responded my questions.
