The media could not be loaded. I received my replacement today. Thank you so much Amazon for your quick response and very fair (and liberal) return policy. I ordered the first one 2 weeks ago but really hadn't had anytime to mess with it. When I finally got to it I was a little concerned as it appeared as though it was a used or reconditioned drone. Which would have been fine but I ordered New and did not pay used prices. My first clue was the packaging. Things just didn't look to be very well wrapped for new. Then when I handled the remote the joysticks were loose in certain directions but also stuck in other (11 and 1). Still I proceeded as I figured that as a novice flyer I won't feel as bad if (when) I start running into things or landing hard. The drone paired up very easily outdoors and I despite being in a remote location, I had no issues with GPS. The first flight is where I noticed a bigger issue. The flight time, which isn't all that great to begin with, was even shorter. So when I went to recharge the battery, the LED would not bounce past 2 dots and then it refused to shut off, stuck on the 2 lights. I tried other chargers. I tried to run the drone with it but the drone and nothing else could seem to break its freeze. I asked the company if I could just exchange the battery but I received no response so I had to return the item. I was tempted to refund all of it and look at another type, but I did happen to get off a couple of photos and videos and was very happy with the quality. The fact that the camera is on a gimbal and it's the only one in this price range with the feature, I want to give it another shot. Upon receipt of the new one, it confirmed my suspicions of the first being a refurbished model. This one came very well packaged. So on to the actual use. As mentioned earlier, I am a novice flyer but I have yet to purchase a higher end drone so this was my first drone with all of these features. Start up is very easy and it does well to maintain GPS signal. The WiFi connection is a breeze. I have yet to have any issues finding the signal and connecting my phone. On the first drone the remote control phone holder was loose and was unable to support the weight of my phone, but the new one does not have that issue. (Another clue). Take off was simple and flight controls are well placed. It does take a little time getting use to where all the features are on the remote, but it is very intuitive and makes sense once you do. I have not been able to use the GPS plotting feature and can't wait to give it a shot, but the return home and follow me features are very very good. The selfie feature is pretty cool too if you like that sort of thing. Landing proved to be a little difficult for me to get use to. Finding out how to stop the blades from turning should be one of the first things you practice. I also really liked the auto return on battery discharge feature. That will save a lot of walking and searching. The find me feature is accurate as well. As someone who lives in a heavily tree filled area, I have lost a few cheaper drones to the drone eaters, so I am grateful that I have that as a fallback. The drone also does super well in the wind. Not heavy mind you but a sustained wind is easily manageable. Overall, if you are looking for a mid range drone packed with features with a beginners option but without requires some skill, you can't go wrong. My only knock is the god awful battery life. I've seen where others have managed 13 - 15 minutes as advertised, but I as of yet have only maxed at 7. I am hoping that the new one ups it to that time. I also am hoping that Protensic will offer a longer life battery, or at least the cost of replacements drop. I am also hoping to score an extra battery by writing this review! Still I highly recommend it!

The video shows how easy it is to pair the drone. If I was outside, in sight of the GPS signal, the lights would have been blue and white. The red and white signal that there is no GPS connection (yet)

After reading the manual and assembling, the drone did fly for a few minutes but the remote lost its charge and the drone landed. The remote turns red indicating it is not charged, plus the App carries a message indicating the same. I tried charging the remote using the supplied cable. The manual indicates it should take 60 minutes or so. The remote turns green after 5 minutes, however it clearly does not have a full charge. Tried charging overnight, same result. Switched to another USB cord and same result (red turns green too quickly, without a full charge). Have asked for support on the vendor. UPDATE: vendor responded in a day or two and quickly sent a new remote. Works great now. Good customer service after a disappointing start, so upgrading to 4 stars.

Drone for beginner: There are so many drones on the market, where does a beginner start?
I was specifically looking for a beginner friendly drone capable of at least 1080p video for less than $200.
The Potensic T25 GPS Drone was the first one that caught my attention on amazon; subsequently, it set the stage for the features I believed to be important. The videos in the description were particularly helpful. I liked the look of the app interface, especially the "Beginner Mode."
(Although I have flown actual airplanes,) I had never flown a drone. Once I got past the clumsy translations in the instructions, I found the operation to be very easy. The "take-off button" starts the rotors, brings them up to speed, then lifts the craft to a shallow hoover. Afterward, the controls are fairly responsive.

Gyro-Stabilization: The light craft and on-board gyros do NOT provide a rock-solid platform, but I found it to be quite decent, with the exception of trying to manually land on a particular target. Fortunately, the copter has the ability to land itself.

Frustration: Aside from the translations with the instructions, the only other point of frustration I encountered was an inability for the remote control to hold a charge. I made several attempts to charge it, seemingly to no avail...until I poured over the instructions again and realized that I had been neglecting to "pair" the remote with the drone. Woops!
Battery life: I wish the battery life were a bit longer, but considering all of the work they have to do and remaining very light, they are very acceptable.

Durability: All drones should be flown in open areas, clear of people and obstructions. That said, I felt like the area I had chosen for an early flight was quite sufficient, until the copter drifted into a fence during landing. Two of the blades smacked a rail a few times before coming to a complete stop. I figured that I was going to have to replace them with the supplied extra blades, but alas! there was no evidence of damage at all -- not that I recommend anyone try it for themselves.

Four stars: I have only had it for a couple of days, but with more time to explore the controls and features, AND with better English instructions, I can easily see giving this drone 5 stars.

I ordered this drone and am a beginner so I thought this one would be a good starter. And I was right. It is easy to fly and the camera quality is good for the price of it. Only set back is it says on the link it has 30 min battery life. That is false, the battery only runs 10-12 mins depending on the speed you run and the video length. Other than that I love it definitely gonna practice with this and move up
