I had poor reception on my favorite local FM station and this antenna solved the issue.
After reading some of the other reviews, I'd like to point out two things that I think would resolve any potential problems with this antenna.
First, yes it will flop around and not stand straight up. The solution is to SLIGHTLY tighten the nut the connector with a small crescent wrench.
Second, if your radio has a switch that let's you choose between an external and internal antenna, ensure that you are switched to external option, often designated as "EXT".
Overall, this is a cheap solution to poor reception, and nicer looking than a wire antenna.

i'm not ready to give up my Bose sound wave CD player radio, just for my kitchen, but lost the wire antenna that it came with15 years ago during my move. But this little gadget with the adapter is better than perfect! Went from static to perfectly clear stations. Kind of embarrassing to keep this old radio but the quality of the sound is so good and sometimes I don't want to listen to my random playlists on my bluetooth speaker and just want to listen to my favorite radio stations.

This antenna works about as well as any antenna that I have used for the intended clock radio and location I locate it. It looks better and is a better match optically for the clock radio. A couple of nearby stations I expected to come in loud and clear don't and any amount of moving the antenna doesn't fix this. Annoying. However, others more distant that I did not expect to hear clearly came through and better than other antennas. I guess you take the good with the not so good. Overall a good product and an affordable buy that was minimal cost.
