My Mirro whiz-grid died after decades of use. While this is not a replacement, it does do great grilled sandwiches. Just remember to spray with non-stick spray. Another great use (you HAVE to watch it!) is putting in shredded cheese and let it melt and cook until crispy. Take out and let cool on a rack and then break up for crackers. Also, when taking out sandwiches from this, put on a small cookie rack. Otherwise the sandwiches get steamed and soft, not crispy.

Our youth group hosts a monthly event to provide food to the homeless in our city. We purchased several of these grills so that we could make 100 sandwiches in a short amount of time. Having 8 of them to test, side-by-side, has given us the opportunity to see how well it handles. So far, it handles quite well.
We make two sandwiches at a time, and approximately 8 sandwiches consecutively. There is very little down time between sandwiches. It heats up quickly and stays hot. We have hosted 2 of our feeding events and find that the machines are holding up quite nicely.
