There is nothing harder to grind than Chinese slab brown sugar - my food processor and blender have the bruises to prove it! But this grinder not only made quick work of it - it turned it into a super fluffy soft snow texture in 30 seconds! There were a few pea-sized pieces left, but they were small enough to quickly dissolve in water!
I used it recently to make rice flour for gluten-free baking! I had to sift and regrind the flour a couple of times to get the super fine consistency I wanted, but it was super worth it! I usually pay $16 for 3 lbs of superfine white rice flour. I got 5lbs of the same type of rice at home for $5 - in less than an hour!

Easy to clean with a quick wipe - a little more difficult under the blades - gets hot after a min or so, so if you want a very fine grind, you have to grind, wait for it to cool down and then grind again.
