Excellent pieces of hardwood

not ever ordering hardwood via the web, I was a bit skeptical. However on receipt of the pieces of wood, which were straight and true, I was pleasantly pleased. When making shop-made woodworking tools, one needs the very best for accuracy and longevity. I recommend these in where both attributes are a necessity.

It's taken me a while to get to this project but finally opened the package and finished the job. Well packed and shipped to me quickly (3/4"X6"X24").
I didn't need the high quality that they provided but it is much appreciated, very smooth even finish, flat, square, splinter-free cuts, ready for stain, definitely very hard maple, which for my job was what I needed.
I used the boards as supplied, no cutting but did drill numerous holes.
I highly recommend Barrington Hardwoods, I'll use them again when I need finished hardwood.

The boards were great; my concern was how they might get abused in shipping. The seller goes over and above in wrapping and padding, so the boards arrived in perfect condition. I definitely will purchase more.

I needed 2 pieces of maple to make small shelves for the end of a maple upper kitchen cabinet. There aren't many places to get hardwood anymore, but I was a little worried about buying it online. I was also worried about the size of the wood. Was it 6 inches wide or 6 inches nominal (5 1/2 actual). 3/4 thick or 3/4 nominal (1/2 actual) ? The wood measured at 3/4 x 6 x 12. All dimensions in the ad were the actual dimensions. And no dings, and well sanded, and flat. And perhaps the reason I took a gamble, it had free shipping. Very happy. I later placed a 2nd order for two 3/4 x 6 x 48 pieces of maple. They just arrived, and were just as nice as the first 2. They laid flat on the kitchen table. No bow over the 48 inches. Laying them on top of each other, there was a tiny cup of about .01 inches over the 6 inches, which is almost perfectly flat. VERY HAPPY with every thing I've gotten.
