Better than I expected.

When I got this and felt the weight, I was skeptical. It weighs 16 lbs (I weighed it), but somehow feels much lighter. I had very low expectations. I only needed something to augment my TV and casual music listening, but in a very large great room (1,300 sq ft with 12' ceilings). This was small enough to fit behind my TV stand in a corner (wife didn't want to see it). Despite being jammed in the corner behind the stand, this thing really makes a difference. It fills the room with nice low end, even from the far end of the room. Granted, I'm not trying to shake the walls (movie room for that), but it definitely surpassed my expectations for casual use. Very nice sound for the cost/size!
Great little sub!!!

I bought 2 subs to replace my Definitive Technology procinema 600 subwoofer. The OSD cabinet finish is perfect and matches my other speakers ( procinema 600 with Dolby atmos front speakers and I added 5 additional tweeters for extra high frequency for detail) for both movies and music.. They take time to break-in. They sound very clear and you do feel the bass depending on what is playing. Keep in mind these are 8inch subs they work perfectly for my set up as it is a small room. Will buy other OSD products. They also play excellent with music.

I just installed the Dayton DSP-LF (subwoofer Digital Sound Processor Low Frequency) works with the Iwoofer app. I am now totally impressed on the capabilities of these subs. Also note OSD do sell an upgraded version of theses subs with dual passive radiators ( Black Series Triple 8)and includes the same DSP inside the sub controlled by Iwoofer. app.
it is quicker than the average shipping time compared to the local Australia Post which is pretty embarrassing. Regardless

This item arrived earlier than expected and earlier than the estimated delivery date using Amazon in combination with my freight forwarder who shipped it to Australia. That means, it is quicker than the average shipping time compared to the local Australia Post which is pretty embarrassing. Regardless, as a customer I am extremely impressed with the very quick service. This item arrived safely and working as intended.

I do not have a hardcore set up. In fact I came from using cheap Logitech X-540s coupled with a PCI XFi titanium cards back in the day. And recently upgraded a modern onboard sound from my X99 motherboard which a very old and still functioning Logitech Z2300. I am now connecting my PC to a TEAC AI-101DA DAC/Amp which have a small pair of LS-101s which sound clear however missing everything low end.

-- TLDR --
After much research, for a desktop set up, I wanted one that can use 240V (AU standards) and an 8" sub. I had assumed that a 10" will be far too big for an office set up. Not only does the PS88 meet my requirements quite nicely it has now made the pair of LS-101s quite out of place, in a good way. Not so good for me since I'll be in the hunt for a better matching pair of bookshelf speakers. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the PS88s. It has gone beyond my expectations for such an incredibly small unit. It's not boomy, it's got a nice precise response, and yet powerful for it's size. The build quality is absolutely beautiful, I love the polished quality. It has knob adjustments for both phase and frequency. It also came with a nice cloth cover and a very comprehensive and informative manual.

I am connecting this using 2x RCAs on both left and right and using a Y adapter on the other end to my AI-101DA DAC/Amp. I'm not sure if I should just connect a single RCA to the left output as noted in the manual.
Great performance for the value

Previously I had a set of Wavecrest HVL1 and a BIC F12 Sub with a Denon S510 receiver. It served my well and then I decided to upgrade my main speakers to Vanatoo T0 which is very clean sounding, however the BICF12 seem to have stuck out in the bass section. Therefore I decided to upgrade my subwoofer and decided to try my luck with the OSD Dual X8. I'm happy to say that I'm very happy with my decision as I was planning to either purchase a SVS or Rythmik which would of costed me 2x or more money. Comparing this sub with F12, F12 would have more SPL but the bass isn't as articulate or defined as the X8. The X8 also has more thumpy bass which kind of shakes the floor and you can feel it. I would say the major take away between X8 and F12 is that X8 sacrafice the low ends but gains clean/ thumpy bass which the F12 is more SPL but very cluttery sound. X8 is musical and F12 is home theater. I'm mainly a musical person so this suited me very well. As an additinal bonus, the X8 looks very stylish with the paint job and very small as well which will blend very well with any environment.
Great little sub!

I bought this OSD Audio Nero Dual X8 to add to a secondary, 2 channel audio system that's in a front room of my house and it really did the trick. I have multiple audio systems, several 12" subs, tube amps, etc. so didn't expect adding an 8" sub in the front room was going to be earth shaking - but that wasn't my goal either. The system is a "Zone 2" to my larger audio system and is only a two-channel system to watch occasional TV and play music throughout the house via Zone 2 from the main system. I have a decent amp and two bookshelf speakers in this front room and really wanted to just "bump" the LFE signal a bit for TV and low-level music when I'm at my dining table and to fill the house with more even sound. I have multiple 12" subs in my main audio room, so I knew I wasn't going to get chest thumping low end from an 8" sub - but this little Nero really filled the gap well where I needed it! I hooked it up, adjusted the crossover, set my AVR/AMP accordingly - AND used an SPL meter to dial all three speakers in (including the Nero) and frankly it sounds really nice. I play music at fairly low levels in this front room but when I step into my office (an adjacent room) I can still sense the bass frequencies well. I do wish this little bugger had an actual LFE input and crossover by-pass (which I could have sworn it had when I looked at it on Amazon the first time) but all in all it works well when set up properly and for the price point I suppose it is what it is. The over-all build quality is good, and it has an exceptionally small footprint which may be attractive to you if you have a small living space. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a 5.1+surround system and for movie watching (always go bigger if you can) but if you listen at low levels in a small room then maybe it'd work well for you there.
