I purchased 2 of these- my family and I love hot tea everyday and after researching for a couple of hours I decided on this Cosori model. The pricing for kettles certainly varies from $20 - $179+. These models were in the lower model on price and I felt they would meet our needs. They exceeded our expectations in every way. Most of all, these kettles have so many safety features, the construction is sturdy, the kettles heat the water very hot and they clean up/dry easily. We are all happy! The tilt angle is wonderful when pouring, there is a range of temperatures you can select from for your tea or coffee of choice, and there is a button that will maintain a pre selected temperature for 1 hour so that the user can enjoy more than 1 cup without having to repeat the heating process. I hope these kettles from Cosori last 10-15 years! They are also space efficient and don't require a large footprint for those with less counter space.
Better Than The Expensive Gooseneck Kettle

I bought this as a replacement for a Stagg EKG kettle my roommate is taking with him when he moves out, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that I like it better than its predecessor. I wanted a kettle that would heat water to 205 degrees F, with no plastic touching the water, and no loud beeping. The Cosori pours much better than the Stagg. It is more comfortable to hold and pours well from a lower, more comfortable angle. It's also not as painfully slow to pour from as the Stagg, which a comparison video I watched found was the by far slowest pouring gooseneck kettle available. It used to take me 12 seconds to fill my mug with water for tea using the Stagg, and sometimes I would get impatient and angle it a little higher, and hot water would dribble down the side of the kettle, threatening my toes. I don't have that problem with the Cosori, which pours efficiently and whose lid fits snugly. I chose the stainless steel finish because the paint on the black Stagg is starting to chip off after a year of use; I expect this finish will be more durable.
To test the heating, I poured 1 cup of tap water into the kettle, and pressed the button to bring it up to 205F. It took 1 minute and 22 seconds. According to my thermometer, which is accurate to within half a degree, the water was at 202F. I tried again later with more water, and again it was at 202F at the end of the heating cycle after pressing the 205F button. That's close enough for me.
Pros:
- Very comfortable to hold
- Pours quickly
- Low price compared to kettles with similar features
- Very quiet beep is not annoying, won't wake anyone up, and can be turned off
- Stainless steel finish won't chip, unlike black paint
- The presets coincide with the temperatures I like to use
- Feels sturdy and well made
- Has not dripped or leaked with normal use
- Comes with a 2 year warranty
Cons:
- The "buttons" don't move when you press them. They are just touch sensors. In my experience with other appliances, this kind of button is likely to be finicky and eventually stop working.
- The inside of the spout and lid is not smooth stainless steel; it has an odd texture. According to the company, the inside is stainless steel and it's not lined with anything, so presumably it is just textured stainless, but it still seems odd to me. It's clearly not a non-stick coating as one reviewer thought, but I don't get why they would give the inside this rough texture.
- The temperature options are limited to certain pre-sets, which work for me, but you can't dial in any temperature you want and they are not perfectly accurate. They get within about 3 degrees of the temperature indicated.

What an awesome little kettle! It has a reasonably small footprint. It heats super rapidly. It's very sturdy. The handle is very comfortable to use. The spout is just the right shape and the stream just the right volume to get some great agitation on loose tea leaves. The ability to turn it on remotely is also quite nice! If I knew someone that needed a kettle, I would definitely buy this for them as a gift!
Oh, wow, I love this kettle

I spent part of my childhood in the UK, so I take tea very seriously.
I've been using the same workhorse electric kettle since 2007. It's a champ. I love it. But I was intrigued when I started to see gooseneck kettles on various cooking and decorating blogs that I follow.
And then, on Prime Day, this kettle ("COSORI Electric Gooseneck Kettle with 5 Variable Presets") appeared with a sizable discount.
I took the risk, and I'm very glad that I did.
PROS:
--It's elegant.
--The handle feels great in my hand.
--The pouring spout is so precise--gardening folks, you'll be pleased to know that the precision is equivalent to a pricey Haws watering can.
--The 5 presets make it incredibly easy to set.
--There has been no chemical smell when I've used it.
--The interior looks like plain old stainless steel (no icky nonstick coatings).
CONS:
--The 5 presets don't match perfectly with every kind of tea you might want to make, or with what every expert says. But the settings have matched up neatly with my expectations for black tea and herbal tea so far.
In short, I love this kettle. It's added immensely to both my decor and my tea-drinking experience.

I'll tried a few electric kettles over the years and this was the first one that seemed to heat the water faster than just boiling water one the stove. I also really enjoy the multiple temp options. It is very pretty as well, if that is something important to you. (I'm strictly a tea drinker, so I cannot comment on how it does for pour-over coffee.)
