I bought 2 of these phones for 87 year old. Phones are easy to use. It is difficult to get the jack into the handset, but it does fit. It is a deep seated slot so you have to get it spot on. A little hard to hang on the wall, better used as a table top phone. I bought longer cords so mom could sit on a chair and not have the phone pulled with her.

My mother-in-law has macular degeneration and it is difficult for her to see small numbers. This phone also had two one touch memory dial function buttons for her son and I. I purchased this phone for my 94 year daughter led Mom. She is hard of hearing. The receiver is not as loud as she needs but the ring volume is superb. If the design of the hand held receiver were more like an old fashioned phone hand held, I believe that it would fit better around her ear and more easily block out ambient sound so that she could hear the caller.
