Wow -- These work great!

Like others, I ordered this item to give alerts for those coming into my driveway.
This system does the job quite well, right out of the box!
It is so easy to setup I defy anyone that can't make it work right out of the box. Seriously, take everything out of the boxes (all items had their own), charge the transmitters until the led goes GREEN, mount the transmitter(s) where you want them... test... Really -- other than needing a charge, they came ready to go.
Now -- a downside here is that the transmitters batteries are actually connected already and I found them transmitting from within the box before I put them into service. The issue here is that you could end up with a dead and over discharged battery when you receive your transmitter. (Unless there's a safety cutoff built in)
The kit came with everything you need -- including a screwdriver.
The transmitters are VERY sensitive out of the box. Easily picks up over 50ft away. Your range may be similar and if that's too far a reach, you can open the transmitter and adjust the sensitivity as needed. If it's too sensitive you will potentially get false positives and that will definitely make you unhappy at 3am!
As to the receiver -- well, not much to report for it. Takes 4 AA batteries or you can plug it in. It's unclear if plugged in and with batteries if the batteries will still be used.
I think, really, my only complaint for this setup is that the power uses a barrel connection instead of a USB on the end that connects to the base receiver as well as the transmitters. I think if a standard USB connector was used it would make things a lot more universal when it comes to powering things.
In the case of the transmitters you only need the power connection to do an initial battery charge. The base ALWAYS needs power either by battery or adapter.
Unlike some other driveway alerts, this setup is limited to 8. It does not appear that you can create an 8 zone setup with multiple transmitters per zone -- 8 zones = 8 sensors -- that's it.
If you think you will need more than 8 sensors, this is NOT the setup you want.
One last nice feature on this setup is that EACH sensor has the options for 32 different alerts. You can have them all different, or even all the same if you wanted. Certainly it would defeat the purpose if they all sounded with the same alert, but there may be a reason you want this. From other designs I have reviewed, that alert is for whatever number of sensors that are in that single zone.
All-in-all.... I think this is a good option to select. Low cost, simple to setup, simple to install, and the range is fantastic -- easily reaching all the locations I chose with no issues. These are NOT wifi, and I can say the range on these is MUCH further than what a wifi would offer. I could not find out what freq they use anywhere in the documents that came with it, or online.

In a previous update I expressed concern that this device showed no FCC certificate and questions to the company were replied they were unable to share details because of "business privacy". I shared a concern that a direct e-mail to them got a denial of the request. The denial didn't make sense given that it's public information in this country.
I have since found the device does indeed hold FCC certification. Additionally, this device uses 433mhz. This is a part 15 device in use.
I continue to give positive score for this device -- it works very well and performs as intended. I would recommend the alert device without question.

Works great, but eats batteries

I like this system a lot. So far it has worked great. I especially like the ability to set the sensitivity. There are a lot of deer in my area, and I have been able to set the sensitivity and aiming so that it seldom picks up a deer, but always detects vehicles entering my driveway.
The one complaint I have is with the base unit. If it's not plugged in, it eats a set of batteries in less than 2 weeks. If there were a way to turn off the clock display that would probably improve, but I can find no way to do that.

We wanted something to warn us when someone comes through our front gate, we live in a suburban area and like to have the door open later into the night, we feel much more comfortable now (amongst other home protection hardwares -wink wink), but these are great giving we don't know what kind of people are flooding into this nation completely unvetted, you've gotta do everything you can do in this lawless Biden country. Be blessed.
Great distance

These alarms are great. Sensitivity is adjustable on 4 levels as to dial in just what you need. I have on aimed out towards the game trails I have which are roughly 300 ft off main driveway and I do this to monitor any trail traffic from trespassers. The sensor aimed at trails is 300ft away and on highest Sensitivity and it picks up motion.....from 300ft away. The second sensor is rite on the driveway, 6 ft away on lowest Sensitivity setting and works great with no false alarms. Both of the sensora mind you are about .5 to .75 miles from the receiver, which i have 2 of. I have had many other types of driveway alarms but this one has been the best. The versatility of the Sensitivity settings allow me to really cover my entire property. Would definitely recommend.
Wuloo Solar Rechargeable Wireless Driveway Alert System - Long Term Review
Tom W✓ Verified Purchase•May 20, 2023
This is a long-term follow up review of the Wuloo Solar Driveway Alarm/Alert system, installed in December 2019. I needed a way to know when cars pulled into one of our driveways, so I looked at numerous driveway announcers and similar type alerting devices. I have five acres with two driveways at opposite ends of the property along a rural roadway.
I picked a Wuloo wireless system with a stated 1800ft range, solar rechargeable battery with two sensors and a base unit. The base unit can support up to eight sensors total. My selection criteria as follows: 2 driveways with a minimum of 500 foot range, must be weather proof, operate wirelessly, powered by battery with solar charging with a minimum of installation difficulty, and cost under $100 dollars. Being unobtrusive would be nice, but I was not concerned with hiding it. We live in a very rural area. The Wuloo system met my requirements.
Well, it's been installed and working for 3 1/2 years and has worked extremely well. The sensors are extremely sensitive and will alert flawlessly to cars, bicycles, pedestrians, etc. In fact I ended up turning the sensitivity down so as not to alert to squirrels, rabbits and other critters. Very nice feature being able to set the sensitivity. Proper placement was the most challenging because the solar panel needs sunlight AND a location which alerted to actual entries into the driveways, while not alerting to passing vehicles. We also have many trees, everywhere. The current placement (see pics) provides enough sunlight even in winter that charging of the batteries has never been a problem. Experience has shown that a few false alerts do happen - such as when spiders build a web in front of a sensor (aargh!), which is easily solved by occasional cleaning. I also clean the solar panels a couple of times each year. In the fall of the year masses of falling leaves may occasionally trigger and alert, and very heavy vehicles passing on the 1 lane road can actually shake the ground and trigger a false alert. Overall I am very satisfied with the performance and durability of the Wuloo driveway alert system. It's very inexpensive and easy to install.
Next, what don't I like and what could be improved:
- You must completely unmount a sensor to adjust the sensitivity. It would be wonderful if this could be done by opening a sealed panel similar to the charge port.
- Rusting tilt and mounting screws: it's supplied with mild steel screws that deteriorate rapidly in the weather. I will be replacing the mounting screws using stainless steel.
- The Base Unit (indoors) resets the announcement volume to maximum if you have a minor power outage (minor annoyance)
- The Base Unit clock is 24 hour only and it really isn't needed at all. I'd prefer it didn't have a clock at all but instead had only a very small power on indicator only.
That's it. I added a few pictures of the system as installed. It works, does what it's designed to do and doesn't cost much. FYI - and the customer service people responded to my email questions in less than 24 hours.
