Spectacular display! So easy to read, even from across the room. I've owned a different one for years that works okay but it doesn't have the bright, colorful numerals and images, on a black background, that this one has. We have had an occasional problem with the "outdoor" reading, but fiddling with the remote sensor, or re-installing the batteries in it (or maybe replacing them) has solved the problem. Total accuracy of the temperature does not concern me, as others have complained, as long as it is within a degree or so of the local weather report. I just don't have a need for anything more accurate. Highly recommended and would make a nice gift for someone else who likes to keep an eye on the weather.

I have to say though, this thing is super tough. Right after buying this, I had a burst of storms day after day. High winds, rain, ice, etc. The outside unit has been blow off the wall 3 times now and landed in a pool of water, busted open, then frozen solid. It still works. The main unit got knocked off the wall during a furniture moving incident and it broke the top button making the main unit useless, so I smacked the crap out of it, so hard it should have broken, and it started working again. I'll be ordering more of these.

I bought this to supplement another weather station since I like the large bright display. I positioned the remote no more than 20' from the display unit, but it wouldn't stay connected. After talking with customer service a couple of times and running through their diagnostic process, they just sent me a new remote which has worked flawlessly ever since.
While it is not optimal to have a device fail out of the box, the fact that these guys fixed the problem right away, sent out a new remote gratis and didn't require me to box up and send back the malfunctioning one made all the difference.
Good technical and customer service is always much appreciated so thanks to the BALDR folks for that.

I have found that this unit is accurate and it has been problem free and very easy to see even from down a long hallway. I did plenty of research prior to this purchase after a couple of returns and this one lived up to all expectations.

It's a nice product but the remote sensor needs to be placed in a covered location otherwise the battery compartment gets wet and drops connection.
