We used this to prep our sink top as well as tub/shower surround for DIY refinishing paint job. We cleaned the surfaces well then applied this Bathtub Refinishing Wipe On with microfiber cloth but any soft cloth is ok. Then immediately painted over it one thin coat of white marine paint. Let that dry overnight. I applied a total of 4 coats, letting it dry about 24 hrs in between. If you can ventilate with open windows that helps as it's an extremely potent smelling process paint wise. I don't recall this product specifically as odorous though. We are about 5 months out from use of the product and I would say it does a good prep job.
