Install was easier than I thought

Our new camper came with the Winegard 360+ antenna on the roof, with a hole on the inside indicating where to mount this unit. I bought this because working remotely was burning through all my hotspot data, so I needed to add another to my plan. The most intimidating part about installing this yourself will be hooking up the power. But, I was told by a service guy - if the antenna was factory installed, there will be power running right next to that hole. It's true! After that, the rest of the install was pretty easy.

A couple things that are less obvious when reading about this unit:
1) This unit will either look for wi-fi, or run on a 4G LTE network. You select that by hooking up to the unit and making selections via an interface.
2) No matter what you're using in #1 - you are doing it via antennas mounted on your roof, so you will get much better coverage (my first try, I picked up several wi-fi signals that were well outside the park)
3) The unit will come with a SIM card that will hook you up to a Winegard pay as you go 4G data plan. You can swap that out for AT&T or Verizon SIM cards to use on their network.
4) once set up, you have all your devices hook up to the Winegard router - just like you would at home. The benefit there is, no matter where you go, once you have internet to the router, all your devices have access to the data.

I've read a few reviews that talked about the fact the interior Wi-Fi is the 'slower' 2.4G standard and not the 'faster' 5G that newer home routers provide. My only thought there is - if you're trying to steam 4k video to a bunch of devices while camping, maybe it would be better for you to stay home. This device will see cell signals and wi-fi way farther than you can from your phone, and makes travel life more convenient.

Had issues with park Wi-Fi connectivity. With this having the Antenna on the outside the signal is not in affected and have a solid signal for tv streaming.

Unfortunately, had to return this to the fact that they screwed up the wiring in my trailer, and I couldn't find the lead from the antenna
