Nicely integrates with existing system and dashboard. Takes frequent measurements, and it's rechargeable.
The solar charging seems a little unnecessary, especially since you want to keep it out of direct sunlight and it will need charging anyway. They could remove that and make the unit less expensive, but all in all this is a great addition to my weather station.

I picked this up to use with my Ambient Weather station. It was easy to connect to my wireless station and seems to be fairly accurate in its readings. The most difficult part of installing this unit is figuring out where to put it. They recommend putting it somewhere there is air flow but not in direct weather. It has a solar panel but the benefit of that is limited if you dont put it in a sunny spot! I figured the air flow and out of the direct weather is the most important requirements so now I will see how long the battery last with limited sunlight.
Works fine with a little effort.

I bought one several years ago and mounted it on a post under a deck cover that blocked most of the rain but let sun shine on it. It seemed to work well most of that time. During one year with heavy wildfire smoke I did have to open it up and blow out the fan to get it unstuck. It eventually seemed to erratically get stuck. I decided to order a new one but later realized that the old one was working except the batteries had worn out so it was only transmitting when the sun shone directly on it. The new one has a different case. It comes with both mounting screws and double stick tape. However, the case has rubber feet where the holes for the mounting screws were before. I'm not sure how they intended to use the screws and I didn't trust the tape to hold the unit long term so I drilled two holes through the case and rubber feet. The new one also has wires between the upper and base parts of the case for a USB charging port that will make it awkward to clean the fan now that I have it screwed down.

I have always been happy with my Ambient monitoring gear, that until I purchased this indoor device. While it works reporting to the console it did not to the app on phone or web. Support is non existent as they only swap out one device for another. I went through 3 devices with the same issue. Finally I called and spoke with someone that not only knew the product, but understood how to trouble shoot an issue. Although much of the information which led to resolution had previously been provided, this person actually determined the obstacles when working with a MacOS and equipment.

I spent a little time reading the docs and searching for the configuration procedure, couldn't find a thing. Then I went to my Ambient Weather and there it was. It configured itself. (They might want to mention that in the product docs.)
I only gave it 4 stars because there seems to be no way to forward AQ data so Weather Underground 9along with the rest of weather station data that it effortlessly sends there.). But that's likely a fairly minor issue, hopefully will address it at some point.
I would love to see my local AQ on the wundermap, but other than that, very pleased.
