Easy to use; perfect for my FIL who is vision-impaired

We traded a cell phone for this landline device. My FIL can't feel or see the small buttons on a cell phone or portable landline device. Since when a call comes in on these, you have to press "Answer" he had trouble feeling the small buttons.
When we switched to this phone and a landline it worked so simply, like the old days. To answer he picked it up. To hang up he placed the receiver in its cradle. With the large buttons, that are tactile, he can call each person in the family by touch. The sound is very clear. Instead of photos, which he can't see, we used large-print numbers.

He is also hearing impaired so we were able to set this to high volume all the time.

My 93-year-old mother found this phone easier than the last memory phone we purchased this one had separate numbers than the memory photos. Easier to dial when you just want to dial a number! Instead of using color photos, I printed black and white icons for front desk, nursing services, their grown kids - easier to see than color photos on printer paper. This cord is long enough to stretch from the table to the LazyBoy. Good sound quality. This phone works reliably. One of the buttons stopped working for a couple of days until I could get there and reprogram it. Not sure if Mom or Dad had pressed it too hard or what... but it was simple to reprogram and it works perfectly. The steps to program each button are a little counter-intuitive -- the dial tone keeps sounding as you're entering the numbers, so it might sound as if you're doing something wrong. But follow the directions and it works. We will probably order a second one.
