Good design, may not fit everyone's application

The good:
-Symmetrical Recesses act as "Handgrip" areas if you want this to be a portable handheld object
-Can stand on it's own with the pi/display installed
-There is just enough room to plug the display headers
-The backplate comes off easily but doesn't seem like it would fall off on it's own
-If you remove the back cover there are two screw notches which would allow you to mount the unit on a wall/etc
The good/bad depending on your application:
-SD Card is not removable with the case on.. you either will like this or hate it. I can understand it would be a little challenging to design a case where the sd card is removable with a case like this because the ribbon cable for the display is directly atop the sd card slot
-There is just enough room for the female jumper wires supplied with the official raspberry pi display.. that is also enough room to potentially add a pi hat/custom pcb. If you want the thinnest solution possible, this isn't it but don't discredit it just for this because the added thickness is helpful to keep the display steady when sat on it's own
The reason I took a star off:
There are vent holes on the top of the unit and a smaller logo/hole on the back. I would like to have seen a design with more holes. Aside from this I am quite happy with the case. It is easy enough to drill more holes as needed anyhow. Perhaps they could offer the kit with two different backplates.
Other comments:
The display by default shows as upsidedown. You can change this by editing /boot/config.txt and adding the following:
lcd_rotate=2

Wall Mount

I think this is a great case and I'm excited to use it. I ordered it to see if I could mount it to a wall because no one commented on that though I thought I saw that as an unanswered question the other day but now I don't see that question there anymore. Anyways, I've drilled 1/4" holes in each corner where the circles are clearly marked for that and will mount it onto a customer's wall soon to test it out for look, feel and functionality but wanted to let everyone know that if you want you can easily drill the holes in the corners for mounting with screws.
Great case for my Official Pi 7" touch screen and pi4

What's not to like? I got a Raspberry Pi 4 and I'm still up in the air whether I'm going to use this to run Octopi on one of my 3d printers, run a Octofarm so I can keep it on my desk as a quick view of what the status is of all my 3d printers are, or build a headunit addon for my Kia soul and install Openauto Pro on it so I can have a car media player/add android auto to my car.
Anyway what I like about the case is that it is sturdy/rigid so I don't have to worry so much about it flexing, which will better protect the screen. Where the pi is located, there is a little removable door so you can access the GPO pins if needed. So far unless something happens I think I will be ordering a few more of these soon if I decide to use one on reach of my 3d printers.

Nice case... Needs Cooling

The case is great, but I can say that if you're running Android on the raspberry pi with the screen attached you're going to need cooling as I have. Haven't yet tested this against raspberry pi OS.
Nice, compact case with room for a battery, small speakers, and a charging circuit if you really try
Chris Burgess✓ Verified Purchase•June 14, 2023
I bought this case to build a hand-held pi tablet with and it is perfect for that.
I added a 3000mah LiPo battery, a charge/discharge circuit, some small speakers with a little amplifier circuit, and an on/off button. It may look like there is no room left over once the Pi4 is mounted inside, but if you shop for small components (mainly here on Amazon and Aliexpress/ebay), you can find components that will fit inside and do the job. The components I used, including the battery do not obscure any of the ports and you can still use the Pi GPIO with an extension ribbon cable if you want.
I get ~3 hours per charge with the screen at 50% brightness and am very happy with the way it turned out.
