I had my elbow bursa removed and my tricep tendon reattached.
This fit right over my surgery dressings (with a little help from my wife). The neoprene seal performed WAAAY better than I thought it would and fit perfect for my super-long arms.
The cuff went all the way up to my armpit or top of my bicep. I really don't think my dressings ever got the slightest bit wet.
Def recommend for the surgery patient.

Surprisingly enough, this was exactly what I was looking for! The cast I have on my hand and forearm is very thick, though not a permanent cast, so I was curious if it would work with this particular bag. The only complaint I have is that the area for the hand to rest was not quite as wide as the rest of the bag, especially around the opening where the arm is inserted. That being said, it did not stop me from being able to use the product and take a shower without getting water inside of the protective sleeve. Highly recommend you take advantage of this if you are needing protection while in the shower!

I have a regular, adult sized width and length arm and I think this works really well, probably wouldn't be as useful for someone with very, thin (child size width) arms. I had a bandage up to my armpit for two weeks and this worked perfectly for showering. I also used this as a barrier between my ice pack and ace wrap so that it didn't get wet. I highly recommend when putting it on, to flip the blue waterproof flange right side out so you can easily slide your arm in and out without catching on your bandage and pulling it down. I recommend the same process for removal after. It's thicker plastic so it was able to withstand use without breaking.
