Still timeless and undefeated...........

My mother started me out on a four cup egg cooker very similar to this one many moons ago, over time ,that cooker got lost.
Like so many who have a love for poached eggs I've tried the traditional putting the eggs in the water with and without vinegar it's just not the same and you always get stickage no matter what you do.
I've also tried various silicone cups and I am a fan of silicon utensils however, I tired of chasing the little floaty cups around the water burning my fingers trying to fish the eggs out. And even though it was silicon and even though I would grease that silicon I would still get stickage and residue.
So when I got this pan the first thing to my mind was well it works but it's so much just to poach a couple of eggs. At that point I inserted my foot in my mouth.
I had forgotten that pan's like this no matter how you slice it always make the best poached egg and the non-stick coating on this model delivers just like the manufacturer says you barely have to put any oil if any at all for that matter which I have done and you'll still get your eggs to slide out I use a little silicon spoon to help that along but it's still pretty effortless. I now have poached eggs every morning and the pan itself which is a very sturdy stainless steel I might add , when you're not using the poaching part is versatile as well. It is very useful in cooking other Foods besides just eggs. Clean up with this pan is also very effortless . As the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it! Very satisfied with this pan and I will make sure this time that it does not disappear Into Obscurity somewheres.

I just received this pan about a week ago, and I've only used it once so far, but I can speak to the fact that there is a learning curve as you customize the amount of flame and the cooking time to your liking. Once I have that figured that out, my poached eggs will be perfect every time! The pan itself is a sturdy, high quality pan that I'm looking forward to using often.

After looking over electric egg poachers made out of plastic, I decided to buy a stove top model made out of steel"¦.ie, one built to last. Nothing to crack, burn out, etc. This is pricier but it's a quality kitchen appliance you can be proud of and it has the potential to last a lifetime. I got the 6-egg model so I can make a few extras and store them in the fridge for a quick breakfast option over the next day or two. I smear a small amount of butter in each cup before adding the eggs and they slide right out when done. Easy clean-up. If you love poached eggs and are willing to spend a little more for a quality appliance, I recommend this one.
