This is the yakitori grill you are looking for
Bleeding edge adopter✓ Verified Purchase•October 8, 2023
We are yakitori and yakiniku fans at our house. Unfortunately most of us don't have an authentic yakitori shop in our towns. If you are learning to make yakitori at home, you need this grill or the smaller version (we have both). Trying to DIY a yakitori setup using something like a kettle grill just does not work as well, no matter how many bricks you use, you don't get the heat retention or reflection. These grills are extremely well built, heavy duty stainless steel, perfect width for yakitori. We regularly use this grill and the smaller one on a wood picnic table with no heat issues.
We love this grill - works great, made in the USA, very high quality

This grill is extremely high quality, made in the USA, and a nice compact size. The 24" grill needs only a single "chimney" of lump charcoal (which works great). We a #4 cast-iron skillet fits nicely on the grill, and we cook steak and vegetables right on the grates rather than using skewers. We love this grill. The grates are stainless and can be washed in the dishwasher or by hand. We allow the charcoal to burn out after grilling and that sterilizes the grill enough for us. The dampers control the cooking temperature - wide open = very hot, more closed = less heat. The wooden feet maintain clearance from the surface that the grill is sitting on.
Do not overload with Charcoal.

Delivered as promised. Although it has a very solid, metal, construction, I found you cannot overload it with charcoal or the coal insert will pop and begin to warp. Hard to understand all of the "Hard to Clean" complaints, it is easy to clean,I would recommend it is worth the price. The real secret is actually using genuine Japanese Bincho Charcoal! After personally speaking with the seller, this insert is actually a new feature that now makes this grill; EASY-TO-CLEAN!
Easy to use

Great product
Nice, with caveats

Overall, I like it. Brings back the Tajik kebabs of my childhood. Doesn't use a lot of charcoal, cooks well, doesn't create a mess. The aluminum insert makes cleanup easy. Very economical with charcoal. Would buy again.
Caveats:
- the nice clean look of brushed aluminum will not survive the first encounter with lamb. Either you spend an hour scrubbing, or you give up on nice clean look of brushed aluminum.
- the food you want to cook better be less than 4" wide.
- no Kingsford briquettes: use natural charcoal.
- warps a bit when hot.
- no grate: provide your own.
- no cover either. That, they could provide.
I ordered a couple of sheets of stainless steel. One will become a cover, the other one will cover the cooking surface.
All in all, I'm happy with it, but YMMV. Not for everyone.
