I love this thing. It was so easy to set up and get going. Without dialing anything in, my first print came out pretty good. After adjusting using the cones of calibration my prints come out fantastic. I can actually see face details like teeth and eyebrows on 28mm figures. If your main purpose is tabletop game size stuff, the small plate is more than fine. Most larger stuff is broken up into pieces anyway.

The detail, out of the box, was pretty impressive. It's a nice size footprint, not too big, but a pretty large print area. I had a Phrozen Shuffle, which I loved, and it had some features this one lacks, like a network interface that allows you to add mask or blackout and easily view your resin profiles and switch them on the fly. On this one, the profile is in the sliced .ctb file. I also liked it better to have a cover that flipped up on hinges, instead of this one, which has to be lifted up and set down somewhere. Finally, please, Phrozen, include a cover for the resin reservoir.

After a month or so of use, I've decided I've used it enough to review it. It's seriously a great machine for a beginner, and I have very little qualms with it.
A few things it does well: it works straight out of the box, the ease of use it amazing and even true beginners can work this thing, screen quality is amazing for the price, and the build quality it superb.
What it doesn't do well:
- build volume is really small, and when including supports, it truly limits your size.
- included materials (scrapers, funnel, etc.) are subpar. Metal scraper handle plastic broke in my hand when applying light pressure to get figure off build plate and sliced my hand wide open.
- USB port being on the side is a bit odd.

I have been using SLA resin printers for almost 10 years for prototyping and design in support of machining and die casting work. The advancements that SLA printers have made over the years is incredible. The price such as for this model is now 1/10 or less of what it used to cost for a good resin printer. Despite being so much cheaper, there really aren't any compromises from much more expensive platforms. This has a slightly larger build plate, setup is very simple, the resolution of all axes are sharp, and the resin offerings are not bad. Set-up to be done on this printer was only calibrating the z-axis and that took just a couple of minutes to do. From there, just add some resin to the vat and get a print going. There was one minor complication in that the file format this printer utilizes is a newer format that my older Phrozen didn't use, so I had to update my Chitu slicing software to the most current version in order to generate that correct file format.
