It's been a month since the UPGRADE and nothing has changed. It's working properly without any bugs, however I did experienced a CRASH while rendering a time-lapse video.

Trying to speed up a long video to 2000 % provoked an execution crash on my Microsoft C++ files. While doing some research online, I discovered that these type of crashes can be triggered by any applications on your operating system, so instead of trying to fix my computer to prevent any further crashes assuming it had issues not compatible with the software. I decided to look at my video settings and profile (All settings looked Ok). Then I went thru my time line video-clips looking for anything that could of been the cause of the crash, and FOUND-OUT that particular clip being speed-up "was the issue".

Basically anything speed-up over 1950 % can trigger a crash and IDK why to be honest. Does it bother me? NO. Why? Well the rest of the software is working perfectly fine. We just had an update released that solved audio, music issues for all of you complaining about it. Some filters like the cloud in particular was missing the color box to change the cloud color. Not a big deal for me really, but if CVS team is reading this and they can fix it on a future patch, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

I've read most recent reviews of users having issues installing the software, what can I say to them? Don't give up, uninstall and REINSTALL. If it worked for Me, it can work for You! It actually does work, it's a bummer you guys can't enjoy the software like the rest of us. :'(

Moving on..., I'm not the type of person looking for lil defects on things to call-out the manufacturer. For some people it can be a big issue not to be able to open an old project done on an older version of VS. That sucks for them, but does it bother me? NO. I'm constantly re-creating things on my time line. Time to move on I guess!

Now for the people complaining about the welcoming screen when you open the software, YOU CAN CHANGE THE WAY THE SOFTWARE BEHAVES PEOPLE. It's not a BUG, and for the record this new version of the software can automatically send crash reports to it's manufacturer. Yes it's also on your settings if you want to play with those.

Also... From settings you can modify things like telling your videos or photos to resize to project size when you insert them on to your overlay track. Enable create PROXY for your video projects, so the software enables full power and capacity of your machine to render videos faster and smoother.

And last.... Do not limit yourself to what the software can do or presets already there for you to use. VS offers you GREAT tools, be creative and use them. You DO NOT need to pay over 2k to DO awesome things. Check my REEL REVIEW on YT: carreteFILMSPro

A little slow when you click on something but works great no problems

This was a birthday present for my grandson. He loves it.

The software isn't complicated it just does a lot. The tutorials are really well organized and easy to follow. The software has a tutorial section that takes you to a UTUBE tutorial for any of the many functions available. The whole package is really well designed.

Love working with Corel products. Had bought another editing software from Corel years ago, and still using it on my other computer. Very easy to learn and plenty of tutorials online. I know that I am really going to enjoy creating videos for my family and friends. If you consider any editing software, I would really look at this one. Has so many new functions and effects, very state of the art and at a very affordable price.
