Good addition to emergency kit

These worked fine. People were saying that it was hard to get the water through, which I disagree. The first suck had to be strong, but after that, the water came through pretty easily. If you're filtering water to the level these do, you can't expect it to be like a normal straw. I bought four and they all worked. Just don't forget to flush them when you're done so they last longer!
Really works!

I bought this as a safety gift for my boyfriend since he likes to hike and camp a lot, and it has worked great every time we have used it! We were a little scared to try it at first, but we watched the online tutorial and read the instructions and gave it a try! The water tasted very clean and we did not get sick. Although this is survival equipment, it is also just fun to try it in a fresh mountain stream. Super cheap and potentially life-saving item!

The LifeStraw Personal Water Filter has become an essential part of my hiking and camping gear, proving itself as much more than just a gadget; it's a lifeline. On multiple occasions, it has provided me with immediate access to clean drinking water directly from streams and lakes, where water quality was questionable at best. The simplicity of use is one of its greatest features "“ just place one end into the water source and sip from the other. No pumping, no waiting, no chemicals.

Beyond its practicality for outdoor adventures, the LifeStraw's impact on emergency preparedness cannot be overstated. In situations where clean water is not accessible, this filter is a game-changer, removing 99.9999% of waterborne bacteria and 99.9% of protozoan parasites without the need for iodine, chlorine, or other harsh chemicals. Its lightweight and compact design mean that it fits easily into any emergency kit, backpack, or glove compartment, ensuring that I'm prepared for any scenario, whether on a remote trail or in the aftermath of a natural disaster.

The peace of mind that comes with carrying a LifeStraw is invaluable. Not only does it ensure my access to safe drinking water, but it also supports a greater mission, with each purchase contributing to providing clean water to children in need. For its reliability, effectiveness, and humanitarian impact, the LifeStraw Personal Water Filter is a must-have for anyone who values preparedness and the great outdoors.
Works and No Side Eeffects

Took a quick trip to Wisconsin and went through the trials, and I took a straw and placed in one of the river streams and ponds, drank it. Did not feel any side effects like microfibrils and it cleaned out the water. Again, do your research, but great for need for water especially if you are in hot or extreme climates and need any water source. did what it was to do.
