I struggled with these to get them smooth and they still had wrinkles in them but they DO darken the windows a good bit, so I'd say they're ok despite operator error.

I can't address the 'privacy' element of this film because I used it differently than advertised. I had an antique cabinet I wanted to use for storage and needed something to cover the glass doors. I thought about using mirror spray paint but this seemed easier and would be reversible. As with most films, it's fiddly to install without getting bubbles but slow-and-steady, using lots of water and a squeegee seems to work best. It's definitely reflective albeit not a perfect mirror but it will hide cabinet contents and looks pretty good.

Good value for the money but don't expect this to be optically perfect like I was. It's like a pvc type material. It's a little difficult to install and even more so to get it very smooth without scratching it. I'm glad people can't see in my front door anymore and it was good for the price but if you want professional quality like for a car window, this isn't it.

The film went on relatively easily. I had a kit already with the spray bottle, solution, squeegee, and blade. There were bubbles that popped up over night, but I just smoothed them again in the morning and everything is fine. It isn't 100% privacy, but I'd say close to 85%. That's about what I was expecting. 4 stars because the tint is crinkled straight down the middle from the seller. Shown in picture before we cut.
