I started getting canker sores at the age of 16 and had no clue why I got them or what they were. 5 years later I've learned I seem to always get them around my period or if I bite my lip. I get very large ones, some to the point where it has left a scar. I tend to get them on my lower lip, but I've had some on my top gum, back of my throat, and under my tongue.

I've tried alum powder, salt water rinse, coconut oil, milk of magnesia and NOTHING compares to the pain relief I get using these patches. I first found the Dentex brand at my local CVS and used them until they started carrying these from Dentemp. They WERE the same product but now Dentex has changed their formula and it is completely different so the only place to get these are from Dentemp. I would recommend using these ONLY if you get them on your bottom lip or cheek maybe. I wouldn't say they're for everyone, it does sort of have a medicinal taste and the patch turns to a gel like goo, but it definitely takes away the pain and speeds up the healing process. My canker sores usually last a week-week and a half but with these patches I will wear them at night for four days in a row and it will be gone. This is what I do personally, right when the canker sore breaks skin I start putting the patch on. You get 6 in a pack but I break them in half as long as it fits over the whole canker sore. I usually put orajel on first with a q-tip, brush my teeth, dry my canker sore, then apply. NOTE- Your canker sore must be dry in order for it to stick. I always do this right before bed so the patch lasts longer and apply a lip mask or chapstick before bed. First thing when I wake up is I take a Kleenex and wipe away some of the excess goo and then brush my teeth. I just let the path work it's way off on it's own because if you attempt to peel it off yourself it will be very painful.

Again, I wouldn't say this product is for everyone but it is definitely worth it to me and has helped relieve my pain on multiple occasions.

I have yet to find anything that works as well as these little guys for mouth sores. Kinda pricey but they really help at night. I don't wear them during the day often because they leave your mouth covered in a rather disgusting looking gel. The gel can be annoying to remove from your mouth and teeth come morning, but it keeps sores from being reopened by teeth overnight.

OK so first things first, I recommend only using half the pill (unless you have an extremely large canker sore) because half is already big enough/oversized for most canker sore situations. I don't know about the other reviewers saying it doesn't stick well or gets pulled off by their teeth. This stuck on extremely well for me and didn't fall off at all. I did make sure to dry the canker sore area beforehand with a tissue or qtip. I also only put on the pill before bed because I HATE the feeling of the goo in my mouth. In the morning I would remove whatever I can and then let the rest of the goo fall off naturally.

As for pain relief, it's amazing. You feel stinging for the first few seconds and then nothing after that. I don't know about how it works while eating because I only use it as a before bed treatment. Even after the goo came off, it made my canker sore less painful.

BUT the one issue I have with it is that when it comes off in the morning, my canker sore is basically a giant bleeding hole. (Ok, I'm maybe exaggerating a bit there, but it does remove all the white stuff from the sore and made me bleed, and there's blood residue on the goo). I don't know if that's intended? The white stuff does come back throughout the day, but it can be startling to wake up and see a bleeding red hole in your mouth. Doesn't hurt though.

I go into panic mode if I don't have these on hand when I need them. It's easy to put on your sore. It burns for a second, but also feels good because immediately the sting I had while, trying to sleep and talk, goes away instantly. I tried the patches. It's a piece of plastic. It does nothing and won't stay in place. These are a little messy, but I can't live without them.

I could not give 5 stars and almost gave only 3 stars as I feel so strongly about this.

The problem is 6 tablets is not enough!
I have chronic canker sore's because I'm allergic to SO many foods!!

There should be boxes of 12 and 24
And don't tell me to but multiple boxes
That's a lot of box trash.
The box they have is big enough to hold 12 or 24 tablets easily so no extra cost to produce.

Yes labeling but that's a minimum cost compared to all new boxes.

I really hope the company sees this review and responds not to me if I'm making boxes that have more tablets in them.

Then I'll know they got the message.ðŸ'ðŸ'
