VEGAS Movie Studio, I had version 12. It wouldn't work on my new Windows 11 computer. This box version 17 was selling at a discount, so I gave it a try. At first neither version was working unless the disable full screen optimizations box was checked on the windows shortcut. About a week after I installed this, AMD released a new video driver for the AMD Ryzen 5 5625U with Radeon Graphics. Now both versions (12 &17) work as expected. I think the reasons why this product is not rated higher, is because of hardware, driver compatibly. The box version came with key codes for Movie studio and DVD architect. About every three days a message pops up to upgrade to newer versions of different variations of Magix software. BE WARNED, not all offers are for this Vegas product, newer versions of movie studio are some other form of software from Magix. The last upgrade offer they sent was for Vegas Edit 19, for $49. That is a great deal, and it has the same user interface as VEGAS Movie Studio 17. I would have taken that deal, but Radeon Graphics do not meet the system requirements of Vegas Edit 19. Overall, I like the Vegas product line.

Easy to learn, very stable. I use it to make slideshows and movies for my YouTube music . Just works great

Works on Computers that Vegas Video Pto wont.
Has most of the features too - comes with DVD Architect Studio too.
Best Bang For The Buck

For the non-pro video editor, Movie Studio 17 had most, if not all, of the tools needed to develop excellent quality videos. Unfortunately, version 17 was the last of its kind, with version 18 being a different bread of application. For newcomers, version 18 might work for you, but for those with a history of the pre version 18 iterations, version 17 might be your best bet for now, or jump straight to the pro software: Vegas Edit or Vegas Pro.

I'm a long time Vegas Movie Studio user, I do love this software but today I tried to buy here (Amz) and downloaded. The serial number would not work... after 30 minutes on Magix website I finally found the email address for support - I don't know why they can't create a seamless transaction. I would not advise using this Amz download approach if you are on a tight timeline. I need to use software now, but find myself waiting and wasting time....
