I purchased 4 of these locks for my home. I had to upgrade my ring video doorbell to a pro version as that's the only way to bridge the locks to your WiFi and have remote access to lock and unlock your doors while away. Otherwise the locks connect via Bluetooth and you have to be right up on the lock to connect and function the lock. Even when you use the range boost feature.
The 2 locks that I can get connected to my WiFi through the ring doorbell and Amazon sidewalk lose connection frequently so they are unreliable in a remote situation. I've spent time on the line with their support but it's time consuming and not easy to fix. It's still not fixed and level blames ring and ring blames level.
I'm disappointed after spending over $1500 on all the locks in general but I can somewhat rely on the Bluetooth connection.
I also had to do some woodwork to retro fit the locks during installation.
Another lock on my garage gets hung up when locking and unlocking. I've readjusted it about 30 times before i got it right.
The touch feature works 50% of the time.
The software is not sophisticated enough for multiple locks. You would avoid a lot of my issues if you only needed 1 lock and never plan to have multiple level locks in your home.
They are nice looking deadbolts. You honestly would never know they are smart locks.
Lastly if you have multiple locks and you want to have 1 key to operate them all, you will need to spend about $500 on a locksmith to do it. They do not have smart technology for hard coding keys. You have to remove all the pins and rekey the lock the old fashioned way.
I love technology and my smart home. My old August locks were way more reliable in a remote situation.
Great smart lock!

After a massive hassle (the first time I ordered it they sent the wrong one - returning it was an unbelievable pain), I finally got the Level Lock Touch that I wanted. Because I had already installed the earlier one, installing this one took only a few minutes. The original installation was more work than I had anticipated. (Note that if you have an older thicker door, 120 years old in my case, you will have to carve out some wood on the inside and outside faces of the door and inset the pieces in order for this lock to fit - otherwise the inside and outside pieces won't get close enough for the provided bolts - but if you have a modern door, installing this lock will be a piece of cake).

Setting it up through the Level app was easy. Linking it to Apple HomeKit was easy. Sharing access with my wife was easy, and the ability to send a temporary virtual key to anyone with an iPhone will be super helpful when we have houseguests. Touch-to-lock is a great feature. Touch-to-unlock, however, only works if you've already got the app open on your phone - the BlueTooth signal from the lock has a very short-range and just doesn't connect quickly enough otherwise (the touch-to-lock only works if your phone and the lock have already found one another). The key cards are fantastic. Regular old keys work too, but where's the fun in that?

As if all that weren't enough - it really looks great. It's so small and low-profile, if you didn't know it was a smart lock, you'd never know it was a smart lock.
Stealthy and effective

I am in the process of renovating my house. I got into home automations and decided to dive deep into products exposed to HomeKit. After watching a couple of videos, I decided to try the level touch for my front door. Installation was snap, and it looks terrific. There is no visual cue that its anything but a conventional lock such as a big keypad on the front or box on the inside. The only reason it took more than ten minutes to install was because I was distracted by the construction of the parts and how perfectly they slide together. Hooking it up to HomeKit could not have been easier with the guided app. I would think it's just as easy for android users. Right out of the box it worked perfectly. I'm enjoying getting used to its unique home boundary feature. Not sure if I will use the touch to open or the automatic touchless NFC but it's great to have the option and the ability to change it.
More magic is revealed in the extended features of the smart lock. Sure, it locks and unlocks the door from phone, card or key but in addition, it will activate "scenes". For example, I have mine set up to turn on the foyer lights when the front door is unlocked. I figure I can also set it up to turn off the alarm at the same time.
So far so good.
Discrete smart lock with some very useful features

Having used a handful of smart locks on the market, I went with Level because of the small profile. I love how it blends seamlessly into your door, without adding a big, bulky box on the outside.

Installation was easy and just required some fitting to my current door. I was able to quickly assign different users and access points within the system, and it worked flawlessly. I got the keypad as a backup solution, knowing that not everyone might have the Level app on their phone. It sometimes takes a few seconds before the code is accepted, but this will be great when we have guests visiting town, or if someone needs to stop by when we are not home. The long range also allows me to hide it out of clear sight.

I know some people have been complaining about the touch element for locking and unlocking, but as someone who's been using competitors locks I must say its quite intuitive. I've often had issues with other locks that requires special codes or very clear instructions on how to lock it after exit. Here the touch element seems easy enough for anyone to grasp.

My only real con is the lack of internet connectivity. It hasn't been a real issue for me yet, but it would be great to be able to connect it to wifi in the future. I know there's capabilities through HomeKit that I'm looking to explore, but feels a bit like a stop gap rather than a full solve.
For this price-point you'd expect it to work flawlessly every-time, and it doesn't.

I LOVE this lock, it's super easy for me to use but others in my house have had issues much more frequently than I have. There really shouldn't be a learning curve for a touch lock, it should just work every-time.

I still have issues and it doesn't always unlock for me when I touch it. I'm super tech savvy, and generally can trouble shoot issues myself so after some trial and error I picked it up and figured out where to touch it for it to work >80% of the time, but it's still a bit of a pain the other 20%.

The homekit integration with Apple is great and a huge life saver when it autolocks and you don't have your keys on you but have your phone.

The Ring integration is a bit of a misnomer, you need to have a specific ring doorbell camera in order for it to actually work with your security system so check that before making your purchase if that's a big deal for you.
