These are really useful but they all died way too fast. I'm hopeful that it's the batteries but it seems too soon to have to replace them.

I read reviews before purchasing and understood that the temperature reading would not be accurate, but would be relatively similar to the actual temperature. This is ok for what I needed them for. Overall I am happy, but if you need these to be accurate, look for a different product.

The batteries die after a year. Buy a large pack of the batteries to have on hand at a good price. I've bought new ones a few times instead of getting the batteries which is stupid but also because there are so cheap the cost is almost a wash. They are very accurate as far as I can tell, and great if you want to monitor the temperature on several levels of the house, especially in basements or kids' rooms.
