After seeing this product online i watched a few videos and figured i could do this. Ekopel is a great product and i would highly recommend it. Just pay attention to the instructions and you will be very happy. There is no odor when using it.

First off this product can a little challenging to work with. However, if you follow the written instructions and watch the instructional videos found on both the company website and on YouTube I feel like it's something an average skilled do it yourselfer can tackle with good results.

I used this product for the 1st time on the tub in my house. I followed the instructions closely and am fairly happy with the results. The only issues I had were due to mistakes I made, both were from not smoothing the product correctly in 2 areas with the supplied foam roller. 1 spot I applied too much pressure resulting in having the dark colored tub repair material I applied before coating being visible through the epoxy coating. The other spot was an area I applied the material a little too thick and tried rolling it out too late in the curing process resulting in a line with drips on the face of the tub.

I didn't panic after noticing these mistakes the next day. Instead of doing that I contacted their customer service department and got an immediate response on how to repair these areas without having to redo everything.

-Other things-The finish is very glossy which I'm sure will mute out a little after full cure and actually using the tub. -The material seems pretty durable, harder than the epoxy coatings I've used for table tops anyway.-little to no fumes from product during and after install-I bought the tub and surround kit for my tub since I have an oversized 72" tub and didn't want to be short on material. Even with the size of the tub the single tub kit was enough material to cover everything.-would definitely buy again-

Lastly, the best advice i can give is...
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS CLOSELY!

Our first time to use this was on bathroom sink/counter combos. Very easy to use and looks fantastic. Next time was a full bath/ shower combo. Much harder to do and didn't turn out very good. We're going to have to put another layer on. It didn't settle well on the sides and left a ridge at the bottom of the tub. We used the primer on this project but not on the sinks. This could be user error or due to the primer. Will update when I do my next tub combo without primer.

Tips: keep disposable cups and spoons handy. It's easier to scoop the drain with a spoon. Keep acetone on hand. It removes the product easily off walls, skin and hair if you drip some on accident. If you can remove your drain cover, do it. Looks better with the cover over the finish than trying to tape perfectly. We removed the covers on the sinks but not the tub. If you notice a drip or issue during the dry time, you can heat it back up with a hair dryer to try to correct it so have one available. I think a heat gun may work better than the hair dryer but don't have one to try!

Overall, pleased with the product.

I discovered too late that the cheap foam roller included slowly fell apart during installation. As a result I have bumps in the surface that should not be there.

Looks pretty good but I thought it was supposed to level out and it left areas where it wasn't smooth. kinda of looks like lines running down. Probably would look better if I did it again and I followed all instructions but probably I'm gonna have to buy another box to fix it.
