The dual side control his key! It's great to be able to keep different temperatures on different sides of the bed. It's wonderful when it's cold out, and I wake up with less soreness than before using it.

I love this even more than I thought I would. Not only is this wonderful in cold months, but it is June in GA and I love this so much that several nights a week I have turned the AC up so I could make it warm on my body at night. You may think you ca tolerate the 9 or 10, but it does get hot over time, so I like to put it this high at first, then use the timed settings at maybe 4 or 5 for an hour or so in winter, and maybe a 2 for an hour or so in warm months. I had a surgical procedure on my back, and this felt so good during my recover, helping to alleviate the pain and feel comfy. I am in love with the fact that this allows 2 sleepers to use their own settings too. Also, I am a "princess and the pea" type of sensitive sleeper, and can honestly say that whatever coils they use are great and I cannot feel them, and the top is soft.

Product functionality was spot on. Our bedroom is currently in an unfinished basement. So extra warmth is needed! We've been keeping it at 1 or 2 and it has been sufficient. So far, I'm loving the heat distribution!
Two things that's rendered the 4 stars instead of 5:
1- I ordered a queen. The package says queen. The bag the mattress pad was in says queen. The product itself is a king. So I'm a little frustrated w that. I feel like it was a returned item as the package was all taped up. (Please tell me nobody actually slept (or worse) on this!)
2- The control boxes don't light up unless you push a button. And even then, the buttons don't light up, just the number it's set at. So at night when you feel like you are inside a volcano, or the top of Mt Everest and need to adjust.. it's kind of a pain especially if you are half asleep or blind as a bat. I've had others where the controls stay dimly lit and I would prefer that.
Should I have returned? Yes. Probably. But it's Wisconsin. I'm cold. I didn't want to wait. So I will deal with it until it dies.
I use a heated mattress pad nearly every day of the year- so for me- if they last two years, I'm grateful.

I've been using heated mattress pads for a long time... so have tried many. This one works well. The heat distribution is good, and even at the lowest setting keeps me pretty toasty.
The only reason that I didn't give this a better score is because I find the controller lacking compared to others. There is no backlighting when it is turned on. So I can't glance and see where it is set, but more importantly, when I get up in the morning... because there is no backlight to remind me that it's on, I've walked away, forgetting that it's even on.
If I want to change the setting in the middle of the night, I have to fumble around trying to find the right button. Once I press a button it lights up, so I can see where it's set. A minor inconvenience, so over all a good purchase.
