My trash company/state expects me to separate out food waste and place it in the green trash bin. This container makes it sooooo easy to do that. It hangs off my kitchen cabinet door and I put a compostable liner in it. Throw food waste right into it. But it can be moved around to wherever you might need it. The detached lid is lightweight and easy to remove with a hook that allows you to hang it off the side of the bin. No leaks. No breakage so far. Very sturdy. Highly recommend.
