Good But Not as Loud as Original Nutone

This replaced the guts of a 30 year old Nutone. It was easy to install and the old cover fit perfectly over the new mechanism, but the ring volume and sustain are not as good as the original. Upon scrutiny the chime plates are identical in old and new, but the replacement utilizes smaller and thinner springs than the original. You can still hear it and the pitch is the same, just a little weak on the sustain. Just the same, I am grateful I found it, and this is a minor complaint. Overall...worth it.
Inexpensive, and provides very clear chime notes.

Thankfully I only needed the unit for the transformer and not the entire unit. The unit arrived broken at the top where the metal piece attached for the plungers to activate the doorbell. The piece at the top was the piece that broke off which does not allow the metal piece to sit on the top.
