I bought these screws for augmenting the sturdiness of a French cleat hanger. The hanger was for my large mirror project on plywood. However, during the assembly of my project, I found myself reaching for these screws multiple times. They easily screwed hardwood pilasters to plywood, and through plywood into PVC millwork. I also used them to screw through hard and brittle mirror trim into plywood. These screws performed well each time! No splintering, stripping or cracking of materials. I was afraid to screw into the mirror trim, but it was not an issue. I pre-drilled a small opening and used a manual screwdriver for each screw due to the delicate nature of my project. I have yet to test the strength of the screws on the hanger, but from what I've observed, I don't think there will be any issue with weight-bearing objects.
