I like coffee. I use this in conjunction with a digital scale, grinder, and an Aeropress to make a cup every morning. The temperature control is incredibly handy: boiling for a super light Ethiopian, 200 or 195 for light and medium roasts, and lower temps for heating water for green tea and the like. As a blind coffee lover, I very much appreciate having physical buttons to use it. The temperature settings feel slightly unconventional with uneven intervals between each. I wish it had more granular control. Also, for something that advertises itself as no plastic where the water is, it sure smelled like plastic when I first received it. If you're boiling water, you also run the risk of burning your fingers as steam leaks through the seams between the glass and the lid. This kettle is well-designed, but it was built down to a price point and you really feel it. I wish there was a premium version of this kettle. I would buy it in a heartbeat. Being able to make my coffee precisely and being able to boil water and save so much time when cooking stuff in water on the stove is amazing.

There is one feature I genuinely do not like. The keep warm feature. I don't heat very much water. I usually only heat enough for one coffee (around 250ml) which is below the minimum fill, but it hasn't broken yet, so meh. Anyway, you can hold down the start button for a few seconds to disable the feature, thankfully.

Overall, this is a good kettle that's sturdy enough and easy to use. I like it.

****UPDATE*****I see a lot of people downvoting this kettle because they think that mold is growing inside the tank. People, that is LIMESCALE, and is totally normal in a tea pot. There are minerals left behind that do not evaporate. They build up, and you have limescale. To remove:
1. In a large bowl, mix 2 cups water and 2 cups of white vinegar.
2. Pour the water-vinegar solution into the kettle.
3. Bring the water-vinegar solution to a boil.
4. When the kettle boils, turn it off and unplug.
5. Let the solution soak for 20 minutes, then pour it out. But if the scaling has been left untreated for a long time, leave the solution to soak for 60 minutes.
6. Once the kettle has cooled down, scrub the inside of it using an old toothbrush. Do not scrub the heating element on the bottom of the kettle as it may get damaged.
7. Rinse with water to remove vinegar residue.
8. Wipe down the inside of the kettle with a microfibre cloth. Let it air dry.
9. Boil plain water as many times as needed until the vinegar taste is gone.

We are happy with this purchase. Water heats swiftly and very hot. Kettle maintenance is simple. The blue light at the base is a great visual to let you know it's on and hot. Some people have complained about the noise, but it's not an issue for me; not too loud and it brews quickly. The ease of using it has encouraged my husband to start drinking more tea which is an unexpected bonus. Good price too!

I love my new tea kettle! This is so nice and easy to clean. In my home we use it almost every day. It truly makes it easy to drink tea and we don't want to use the microwave. So this was a great affordable choice. Make sure to not leave water in it over a long period of time like more than a day. The base inside does have particles come off if you don't wipe it out every other day. This happened with my old tea kettle too. I did a lot of research and didn't want to spend so much and I liked the glass option. I also like how it lights up. It does stay heated for quite awhile which is nice for refills. Highly recommend for a long lasting affordable product.

I really like electric tea kettles that heat water to boiling quickly. My old one finally got to a place where the lid wouldn't stay down, so I had to replace it. After reading reviews I decided on this one, and I like it so much better than the old one! It heats water to boiling just as quickly, but when you depress the heat button, a blue ring of light circling the bottom of the base comes on, showing that its heating, and looking very pretty in the clear water. You can easily see how much water is in the pot , eliminating the chance of starting it up dry. It turns off right away and gives me peace of mind that it's safe. I am really glad i got it. It also has a better capacity than my old one , which is convenient for family gatherings.
