Was showing a friend how powerful these are. I cut a 1 inch branch off of our pine tree. He said, " Aw, its still green. Of course it can cut that.", So I walked over to an old wheelbarrow and cut through the 1.25 " end of the handle. OMG! WOW! These are powerful (and a little bit scary).
Special note: The batteries have a type A USB port so they can be used to charge small electronic devices. I'm impressed.

Expensive, but would not want to be without them now. My original pruner broke where the pruner connects to the battery. I contacted Kebtek , and then Amazon, since it was only a month or so old. After some fussing, thankfully Amazon took care of replacement of this original unit. Shortly after, Kebtek also responded to take care of replacement. (A little late) It works great, and is very fast. Be careful, it would also prune a finger if you were not careful! My only suggestion to Kebtek would be a different, more secure pruner to battery connection, or a different slide in type of battery as seen on most cordless tools.

These are really electric loppers. Easily cuts through 1.5 inch branches, but also did fine pruning (you can set two max openings). I am cleaning up several acres of parkland and forest for fire safety. Cleared about 1/4 acre with hundreds of invasive shoots and low hanging oak branches in less than 6 hours using only 15% of indicated battery life. I purchased the highly rated, slightly lighter Komok for my wife. It is a fine tool, but Kebtek is a much better value (bought another one for her). The Kebtek package came with two spare blades (Komok had no spare blades), nice tool bag, good instructions, two batteries, plastic
case. Another Kebtek benefit is the availability of extension handles (32" and 72") which make cleaning up lower branches much easier. Like the Komok, most electric pruners only open 1.2". The extra .4" opening of the Kebtek is huge in terms of how much and how quickly one can clear space. Its small size and lack of long handles allows you to cut pretty large shoots in awkward places. Much less fatiguing than manual loppers and pruners, especially for us older gardeners with arthritis and bad rotator cuffs. So far, high quality construction under heavy loads. Quicker, safer, and cleaner than the chain saw for trimming small limbs off downed trees. Absolutely, my new favorite tool.

One caution - these are extremely sharp and powerful. They are commercial grade tools, not toys. They can easily lop off a finger. NEVER get your other hand close to the cut. It's tempting to go fast through a stand of brush, but take your time and be aware. Keep away from children!

I had no idea this product even existed. Thanks to the Amazon website, I typed in "cordless pruner" and there were a lot of options to choose from. Several big piles of branches and brush that had accumulated on my property over the years (approximately 1,500 cubic feet in total). In an effort to prepare for the Southern California fire season (October) I looked into several options. Renting a woodchipper that would cost well over $300.00, and a dump trailer was about $200.00 and both items would be even more expensive with gas and recycling fees. I checked in to my local trash removal company and they allowed me to have 3"“90-gallon green recycling bins at no extra charge. I ordered them and started cutting up the piles that had material in them that was up to 5 years old and some of it was very hard wood.

The pruner cut through branches up to 1.5 inches in diameter without any issues. This cordless pruner made quick work of cutting up the material and allowed me to add much more into the bins by cutting it in to relatively small pieces. The pruner has a status screen on it that indicates it is on, the battery status, and when you first turn it on it tells you how many cuts have been made. In 3 months, I have made over 75,000 cuts and it is still on its first set of blades which is amazing considering what it has been through.

The bright orange color of the pruner and carrying case make it easy to spot if I accidentally leave it somewhere on my property. I also clean the blades with rubbing alcohol and lubricate them before putting it away in the carrying case. The charger works fairly fast and allows you to charge 2 batteries at once although the batteries last much longer for me than it takes to charge one. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of these pruners if mine was ever lost or stolen.
